Alkser
The opposite of everything fame gives you :P People will hate you more and if you completed knights of the nine quest and have infamy..well it's better that you don't know what happens :P

ub3rman123
I believe the only benefit to you for infamy is the Altar of Sithis in the Vile Lair mod. Aside from that, the game handles it as a bad thing.
majikmonkee
There is at least one npc in the game who likes you better if you are infamous, I can't remember who it is right now though. People stop kissing your butt when you are infamous, that's a big bonus.
ub3rman123
If you get your infamy up with KotN installed, be prepared to hear the phrase "I used to think you were a white knight, a crusader..." a lot. Infamy affects the disposition of characters you meet. The exact effect depends upon the NPC's responsibility. NPCs with high responsibility will dislike you because of your infamy. At a responsibility of 100, an NPC's disposition will decrease 1 point for every 2 infamy points. At lower responsibility, disposition decreases less rapidly with infamy. For NPCs with a responsibility of about 10 or less, their disposition will actually increase as you gain infamy. Disposition will be modified by at most 20 points due to infamy (i.e., at most a 20 point loss for "good" NPCs at most a 20 point gain for "evil" NPCs). This modifier is calculated independently of the Fame disposition modifier. From the UESP.
