Dianadoesitbest
This is sounding more and more like a fantasy action game, and less like a open world RPG :(
Fatalmasterpiece
Yeah I have to admit I was not that enthused about the Dragon Shouts thing. The whole dragon language sounds awesome but actualling having these powers sounds like it's just going to cause your character to feel that much more out of place in the world, since eventually no one will be able to do what you can, teleport, slow down time, summon dragons etc... Reminds me much more of Fable where you are one bad a$$ amongst a bunch of piddly NPCs and the game only throws at you what you can handle. I liked it in Morrowind when you felt like the rest of the game had the same powers as you had so you never felt like a god and you could face unknown challenges at the next turn of a corridor. Syonryoken
you'll be special no doubt but Im sure itll be balanced enough. Im glad theyre making these abilities; most good mods for oblivion had some ridiculous abilities like that in the first place. Knowing that Bethesda placed it in the game themselves gives me some kind of hope that these powers will be balanced and that the enemies in the game will have some kind of counter to such strong tactics. Fable was just plain dumb, Bethesda has their faults, but they will never make trash like Peter Moneleux whatever his dumb name is.
Fatalmasterpiece
... most good mods for oblivion had some ridiculous abilities like that in the first place... Your deffinition of good must differ greatly from the opinion presented by the top endorsed mods for Oblivion... With the exception of a few (such as Midas Magic), most don't even add abilities. I certaintly never downloaded nor installed any mod which gave me more overpowered abilities beyond that already present in the game. I'm kind of hoping there is a way to play the game without really focusing on these dragon shouts.

Other people will be able to do Dragon Shouts too, so you're not unique and overpowered. Shouts are a type of Nord magic. I'm assuming this means certain enemies will have these abilities too. Nadimos
Shouting and all sounds cool. That there will be a language , too. I like that. I mean, hey, you want to stick with the fights in oblivion or what? This is gonna be an awesome immersive experience!
