  1. Wouldn't it be possible to un-complete that quest via console so he isn't set to wuss mode? Or just set him to aggressive directly?
  2. that Khajiit is gonna look more awesome when i put a dagger to his throat Argonians FTW ....'kay?
  3. The Khajiit and Orcs are looking nice. I was gonna play them both anyway, but now I have confirmation that I'll get to look good doing it.
  4. I played on console so it wasn't possible to get massive files, and pretty much just had a save per race while only using about three of them. I also was taking ghetto screenshots through the little savegame portrait that the game takes, so I had at most twenty save files, mostly of one character, at any given time. Not that much compared to others here though.
  5. I had to translate that. That's actually pretty funny.
  6. A game...within a game? We need to go deeper. *inception face* But yeah. Minigames. Thumbs up.
  7. I think it's the Fus-Roh-Dah shockwave that was mentioned in the GI article. Unimpressed? THIS. IS. SKYRIM we're talking about here. XD
  8. I don't think it will be related to magic in any way, because you'll be able to use it regardless of what weapons you have equipped. Magic is only castable if you equip it. The guy in the trailer had a sword and a shield equipped already. I think it'll be treated as a new skill type on top of magic.
  9. Sounds like you picked up an Arrow of Regret somewhere. Gotta watch out for those.
  10. My Nord will be male, my Khajiit will be female for the health bonus. It's not like she's going to let anyone hit her, but it's still nice to have a bigger buffer for the occasional unplanned scuffle. Unless they completely redo how stats work, then I really don't know.
  11. I liked A Dance In Fire and The Argonian Account. They were pretty well written, as well as serving as character background for my two favorite races, showing how they are on their "home turf". I also liked the Barenziah series, and a few of the longer skill books. A Game At Dinner made me respect Helseth quite a bit. He's quite the magnificent bastard. And of course I've gotta mention Ahzirr Trajijazaeri. My bible when it comes to how I play my stealth characters. There are more, but those are the ones I can think of right now. I've got a chest full of nothing but books in one of my houses. I should make a list.
  12. Methredhel and Amusei are my homies. I also think J'Skar and Hassiri are cute.
  13. Well, there was that business with Sanguine....
  14. Other people will be able to do Dragon Shouts too, so you're not unique and overpowered. Shouts are a type of Nord magic. I'm assuming this means certain enemies will have these abilities too.
  15. I can see where people are coming from with the Mraaj'Dar hate, but I actually like him the most. All the other characters (aside from the orc) are kind of too "creepy cultist" for me. We're a guild of people who murder for money. We're the only guild directly associated with serving a deity, but still. Cut the pretense please. I don't understand the love for Lucien either. He's the worst with the creepiness. He's actually the reason it took me so long to join the Brotherhood. A guild of people who are gonna act like him? No thank you. I guess a part of it is, I don't like a game where everybody likes my character. Unless it's something like Infamous where the entire crowd beats up your enemies for you. But you have to earn that, it's not given from the start. Thinking about it from his point of view, why should he be falling all over you just because you're a member of the same band of murderers as him? It was more of an accomplishment to finally earn his favor, unlike everyone else who lovebombed you from the start. And plus he was funny. He even breaks the fourth wall a little in his merchant dialog. "You got a deal, idiot... Now I can sell it for five times its worth!" Every merchant does that, but he's the only one that admits it. Getting the orders to kill Mraaj'Dar along with everyone else was the worst bit for me, and RP-wise was the reason my character Jangle-Tail finally decided to quit the guild. I'll admit there was also a little Feline Solidarity influencing his actions... J-T also researches his targets and decides on whether or not he wants to go through with a contract. He also has his own set of morals that, though skewed from the norm, aren't something he's willing to break, even if it means having some ghost come after him while he sleeps. (This is a little off-topic, but I kinda wanna say it. It's actually been a little unsettling, reading certain posts here talking about how Lucien is such a sexy and charismatic person, when to me he just screams "I am a cult-master. Relinquish your will to me and I'll give you affection. But only if you do what I say. If you disobey me, I'll show you no mercy." The whole "loving family" bit is also a tried and true cult tactic. I mentioned it before, "lovebombing". I dunno, maybe lots of posters here are into D/s. That's alright. It just unnerves me to see someone like Lucien be characterized that way. The creepiness would probably count as my second choice for "worst part of the DB". Yeah, Sorry for the tangent, it's just been on my mind.)
  16. Derp should go find Ancotar and steal his secrets. Maybe a nice giant helmet enchanted with Detect Life could help him out with getting over his fear of invisible people.
  17. Giant Spiders oh god why D: Other than that, it's looking to be better than my expectations. Customizable body, Enchanting as a skill, and it looks like new races or subraces. Sweeeet. Hoping to see the Beasts and Orcs at some point, but I can wait.
  18. Name: Jangle-Tail Gender: Male Race: Khajiit Starsign: Warrior Class: Custom: Renrijra Krin. It's still being perfected but is a Combat class with heavy Stealth leanings. Homes: Bravil House, Waterfront Shack. Favourite Land: Topal Bay and West Weald. Mountains are fun to explore too. But cold. Best Friend: Amusei, Methredhel, Dar-Ma, Volanaro and J'Skar. Worst Enemy: The Plotius family. Pretty much every Legion officer ever. Combat Preference: None. If he has to, Stealth with Magic as support. He'll settle on stabbing things if it's a rat or mudcrab. Combat Style: Use magic and stealth to avoid conflict. If that doesn't work, Paralyze and run away. if that's not an option or if he thinks he can take them, either use a bow or a Bound Longsword. Greatest Fear: Undead. And Drueghs. Oh gawd, Drueghs. D: Greatest Want: Shinies. And for the Empire to leave him alone and go away. Physique: Scrawny. He's stealthy by necessity. Level: ~20 Joined Guilds/Factions: Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood, but only to have access to certain stuff. Joined the Arcane University for access to more of that sweet sweet magic. Enemy Guilds/Factions: Blades, various Knight Orders. Childhood: He was born in Leyawiin. His father was a smuggler and was killed in a deal gone bad. His mother moved him to Bravil, as she didn't want him to be exposed to the negative racial tension in Leyawiin. Teenage: His mother got sick and died during an epidemic. J-T became a begger to survive for a while, until he was taken in by an Argonian family. Preferred Food: Meat and fruit Disliked Food: Anything with Damage effects Favourite Arrow Type: Amber Favourite Blade Type: Orcish or Daedric Spells: He's not much of a mage, but likes studying magic in his spare time when he can find books. He uses Illusion the most and likes Telekinesis too. Friendly Races: Khajiit, Argonians, Orcs, and Minotaurs (he sees the Minos as another beast race. "Bovimer"?) Neutral Races: Bretons, Redguards, Nords and Bosmer. (his dad was a Bosmer but they're kind of annoying...) Hostile Races: Imperials, Dunmer, most Altmer. There are specific exceptions though. Favourite City/Town: Bravil, as it's where his adoptive family is. Chorrol for the niceness and prettiness. Least Favourite City/Town: Leyawiin. Full of racists and bad memories. Favourite Daedra: Azura, Meridia, Sanguine, Nocturnal, Vaermina, Malacath and Sheogorath. Least Favourite Daedra: Dagon, Mephala, and Boethiah Favourite Divine: Dibella, Kynareth, and Mara Least Favourite Divine: Julianos and Talos (the feelings are probably mutual) Other Gods: Being an unrepentant criminal, he worships the Khajiiti gods Rajhin and Baan-Dar, as well as preferring the Khajiiti versions of the previously mentioned Divines: Marz and Kynarthi. Main Weakness: Physically weak. Main Strength: Crafty and willful. Goal in Life: To live easy. And acquire many shinies. Why he was sent to jail: J-T was (and still is) a member of the Renrijra Krin, the Khajiiti terrorist/smuggling organization. He was captured during a mission. Here's a screenie I took in the sewers. He cuts you.
  19. Maybe she's a relative of Thurindil?
  20. I had assumed that's what was happening. Civil war in Skyrim, Akavir invades during the chaos. The dragons might be the Tiger-Dragon king of the Ka'Po'Tun, or maybe some normal dragon that will be called on to resolve the conflict. Or both. I've read a lot of the in-game books, so it makes sense, kinda, but it might be way off. Also, this is making me remember M'Aiq's rumor about having seen dragons, but not wanting to tell us where. The devs must have payed him in calipers to keep his mouth shut.
  21. Long post is loooong. I'm chatty when I play, what can I say. Best if read in the Khajiit accent, as I imitate that while I'm playing. For RP reasons and lulz. Valen Dreth: "There's a rat in my cell, Khajiit. A fat, tasty rat. Does the kitty want it? Is the kitty hungry?" Me:"Hey. Dunmer. There's something fat and tasty in my cell too. It's in my pants. Now shut up before I make you my tabby. >:(" Valen :"You're going to die in here, Khajiit!" Me:"You shut your mouth when I'm not using it!" Uriel Septim:"Let me see your face. You are the one from my dreams." Me:"Oh. my. god. Patrick Stewart is hitting on me!! :D " *encountering the giant rats for the first time* *Looks at feline self* *looks at rats* "Awwww yeah. Time for din-dins." Uriel Septim:"Close shut the jaws...of Oblivion!" Me:"Ooooh...Nice title drop. Well done." Baurus:"From what I've seen, I'd say you're an experienced Assassin." Me:"HOW DID YOU KNOW- I mean I don't know what you're talking about. I'm just a simple, innocent Adventurer...la la la~..." Male Nord:"Head on!" Me:"Apply directly to the forehead!" K'Sharr:"*sigh* I hate my life..." Me:"I hate your life too." Me:"Hey, Old Guy. Patrick Stewart told me to come here. He also gave me his bling before he got shplakk'd in the head by a Power Ranger." Jauffre:"This cannot be. No one but the Emperor is permitted to handle the Amulet. Let me see it." Me:"No. You didn't say please." Martin:"To Weynon Priory, then!" Me:"Yeah! Disney Land- wait, what?" Martin:"To Weynon Priory, then!" Me:"You're not the boss of me." Martin:"To Weynon Priory, then!" Me:"Martin. Shut up. We'll go when I'm good and ready and not a minute sooner! >:(" Guard:"Speak." Me:"WOOF!" Guard:"Speak." Me:"No. ....Wait, I just spoke there...damnit you tricked me!" Guard:"You have my ear citizen." Me:"I don't want it! Take it back!" Lucien Lachance:"You sleep rather soundly for a murderer." Me:"...*tilts head and grins* And you have a very nice looking robe.*unsheathes sword* >:3" Vicente:"You are like a dark gift from the Night Mother herself." Me:"Aw shucks, you're embarrassing me. ....Continue." Beggar:"Blessings of Julianos upon ye." Me:"Umm...Julianos and I don't get along very well. Gods of law and order frown on theft and murder, you see..." Beggar:"Blessings of Stendarr on ye." Me:"No, he doesn't like me either. God of Mercy. Murderer. We don't get along." Beggar:"Blessings of Mara upon ye." Me:"...Listen. I don't think you're getting this... I'm a thief and a murderer. Look how high my Infamy score is. I can't go to Chapels anymore for fear that the blessing will be replaced by a 1000 damage Shock spell. The gods do not like me. Get that through your head." Beggar:"Blessings of Dibella upon ye." Me:"Pfft. What would I do with a fortification to Personality? You give the worst blessings ever!" Beggar:"Blessings of Mephala upon ye." Me:"HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU, THE GODS DO NOT- Wait, Mephala? The Daedric Princess of Lies and Deceit? ...Yeah, Mephala's blessings work for me, thanks." Random NPC:"Hail!" Me:"Where!? Oh Gawd! I'm weak to Frost Damage!" *covers head with arms and runs indoors* Guard:"Speak." Me:*says nothing, thinking "I'm not falling for that again..." *meeting Betto Plotius for the first time* "Wow. You can see I'm a Khajiit, right? Are you blind, or just stupid? I'm totally murdering you in your sleep. Have a nice day~" Julitta Plotius: "I know the Khajiit are all upset that the Council took away their land and gave it to us, but they just have to get over it! It’s our land now." Me:*pickpockets her money, she runs for a guard* "Hey, I know you're all upset that I just robbed you, but you'll just have to get over it! It's my gold now! .....Also I killed your husband. Sorry about that." Bandit:"This is the part where you fall down and bleed to death!" Me:"I know you are but what am I!" *facing off against a minotaur* Me:"How appropriate, you fight like a cow!" Bandit:"Jump on my sword while you still can!" Me:"I would, but my Acrobatics skill isn't high enough." *ambushed* "UGH! You have angered Kitty! This is my grrr face!" NPC:"You're a fit one, been running a lot?" Me:*trailing guards behind* "....You could say that, yes." Guard:"Stop! You've violated the law!" Me:"No I didn't! He's lying! There was consent! Consent!" Khajiit:"Sugar and sands, friend." Me:"Yarn and catnip, friend." Argonian:"A hated one." Me:"An uneducated one." Legion soldier: "For the Emperor!" Me:"For the Lulz!" NPC:"You're not supposed to be in here!" Me:"And that arrow's not supposed to be sticking out of your head. Funny how things happen." Male Dunmer:"You remind me of my homeland. During the Blight." Me:"I remind you of thousands of dead and diseased Dunmer? That's the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me...I think I may cry." Dulfish gro-Orum:"Look. A fly. Buzz, buzz. Hey. Look everybody! I'm talking to a fly! Buzz, buzz, buzz!" Me:"Help mee! Heelp meee!" Bazur gro-Gharz:"Boss uglies in Cheydinhal are the Orums. Don't mean nothing to you. You is the Outside. Just stay Outside, and everything's Mister Tinker. Got me?" Me:"......umm...no?"
  22. The Adventures of Charlie Manhuge and the Punchmisers The thing itself doesn't have a specific name, so I made up an appropriate one on the fly. It's a somewhat in-character LP starring a sociopathic and genre-savvy Dunmer named Charlie. He punches things. All the things. I can't do it justice in words. It has to be read to be understood.
  23. Ha! I love that! I may have to make that the way my character joins if I ever start an LP. Talking to someone, ask for rumors, hear that, and go "hmmm...Let's test that out, shall we?" *stab*
  24. -Not allowed to kidnap Martin, Jauffre, Velwyn Benirus, the Jemaine twins, Erthor, and Maglir from their respective quests and use them as your own personal immortal army. (I saw this done in an LP. It was EPIC.)
  25. My username is the last name of Moon Wolfhowl, a minor character from a comic thing I'm working on, and 88 is my birth year. I would have gone with my Oblivion character's name, but I wanted to keep my accounts on various forums the same name.
