Maharg67
CITY OF CYBORGSNEWCOMERS FIGHTING THE UNDEATH NINE Grayarg the dragon swept upwards, unleashed a great bolt of atomic fire, straight at the Undeath Nine, as they were now being called. One of the figures, a tall woman in exotic disturbing armour, screamed briefly in pain but then she just as quickly focused fully once more on the great tower that was part of the SanctuaryClave anchor. Then she swept away even as undead creatures hurled undeathly energies at her. Not just vampires were there but more powerful entities such as monstrous hulking vamprirs. Fast shambling zombies were moving in hordes across the landscape and with them smarter, more aware, weapon and armour using zombers. Auzilander soldiers hurled cannon and howitzer shells at the lesser undead along with salvoes of rockets, rocket-grenades and missiles. The mighty robotic humanoid, Grabarg, strode across the same landscape and his mighty laserguns and plasmaguns swept pulsebeams swept away many of the lesser undead while his great robotic crushed many of them. Grararg darted forward as thirteen metre tall metallic humanoids, each heavily armoured and armed. They fired a variety of powerful weapons. They darted with amazing coordination, agility and speed through the battle. Grakarg was a mighty swarm of microbotic entities sweeping through the air and the lesser undead fragmented, vaporised as the cloud engulfed them. On and on Grakarg swept back and forth. These four of the Second Nine were fighting strong and had helped to turn the battle from a defeat for the ACT to a stalemate of sorts. Auzilander helicopters shot overhead firing many small pod-rockets and semismart missiles. These guncopters were less heavily armoured and armed than vertibirds but they were easier to manufacture and maintain. Basic battletanks rumbled over the grounds and fired off their autocannons and laserguns as they moved, their turrets swinging back and forth. With them ran body-armoured soldiers and far fewer power armoured soldiers. Then the elementals came of life, solar and phase kinds. Spheres came as most common and also human sized humanoids but also a few mightier humanoids. With them came enhanced humans and also powerful damphirs along with robotic looking spheres that were in truth more than just robotic. Yet the Undeath Nine continued to resist the attacks and the armies of the lesser undead began to be reinforced by undead things appearing out of nowhere. It was a battle becoming a great battle. Maharg67
STORY DIRECTIONSSTORY POINTS Graharg, Grazarg, AlphaThirteen and others are trying to get to the central part of the Auziland Commonwealth and Territories. They seek to help defend the people there and to help deal with the threat of the Undeath Nine. The newly arisen Grayarg, Grabarg, Grakarg and Grararg are already fighting the Undeath Nine and their lesser undead forces. Gramarg and Gravarg are trapped inside SanctuaryHub of SanctuaryClave trying to gain more knowledge, to uncover secrets, as the SanctuaryHub is under attack by the Undeath Nine. Gratarg has captured pregnant Maggie and Wen, the slider clones, from the Great Shadow. Now he and his forces, including BetaThirteen, are on their way to the Earthen Isles. Gratarg hopes to learn more about the base inside the base inside the base. Graaarg, Graearg, Graiarg, Graoarg and Grauarg have also appeared to assist. All of the Second Nine are transforming in both more subtle and more obvious ways. They are openly gaining more power and they are becoming more strongly linked, more stable than they were. Yet, for all that, they are still the same in many ways, they are still the Second Nine. What of the Karmatta Triplets and the two neobabies born from the two female Karmatta Triplets? What do the Undeath Nine really want? What are the elemental forces that fight the undeath, that have killed Shadow things with phase-spears, and where do they come from? What of Maggie and Wen, the slider clones, and their unborn children? Other forces such as the Enclaven, the TekOrder and the EarthEmpire, what are they up to? Maharg67
CITY OF CYBORGSUNDEATH NINE ASSAULT ON SANCTUARYHUB Graaarg, Graearg, Graiarg, Graoarg and Grauarg were happy to be with the Karmatta Triplets and the two neobabies. For the five recent awakeners from deep status were shapeformed like neobabies though they were larger than Joaffie and Joakkie. The five super neobabies were there to guard the triplets and the neobabies. They ran, except the two held neobabies, along the corridor as the sparkling, shimmering, shaking continued. The Undeath Nine had stolen data from SanctuaryHubnet despite the best efforts of Gravarg and Gramarg. The Undeath Nine had also disrupted the computer-robotic network of network-systems that partly kept SanctuaryHub. AI-supercomputers were isolated behind emergency security barriers. Roboremotes were closed down and in their bays. Many robots were functioning at low efficiency rates. They passed through a big chamber where androids, clones and others were preparing to defend SanctuaryHub with powerful sophisticated guns, power armour and other technologies. Such platoons were being formed through out SanctuaryHub to reinforce heavy security and defence units already in operation. But not all was bad. Gramarg and Gravarg had discovered that the Undeath Nine wanted only to travel through SanctuaryHub of SanctuaryClave so as to find a way back to their home world of Alternate Earth #0123456788. That is also the home world of the original non-clone Wen of the sliders. Trouble was that the Undeath Nine were still going to do a good deal of death and destruction as they crashed through SanctuaryHub. Gramarg’s attempts to communicate with the Undeath Nine, so as to negotiate with them, had come to nothing as they simply ignored them. They passed a wall showing fine cracks in the metallic surface where invisibly tiny nanobots and microbots struggled to make repairs with some just visible dots that were macrobots. Alarms began to chime and then quickly became silent again. They kept running, now splashing through water flowing lightly out of a crack high in a wall where pipes had most likely been broken or fractured! Maharg67
CITY OF CYBORGSGRATARG AND BETATHIRTEEN IN THE EARTHEN ISLES Gratarg was situated now in the Earthen Isles again along with a large and growing military force that had a wide range of military units in it. True Blue Ocker Mutants, wozfolk troopers, human power armour soldiers, combat programmed androids, powerful dragons of varied kinds, deadly battle-robots, combat cyborgs, cyberlink controlled warmachines of many kinds and much else besides were there. Through out SanctuaryClave the troubles continued but most ‘hot spots’ had been ‘extinguished’ and others were being seen to. Gratarg sat in a semi-open front of a café where he was on a big mat. In front of him was a fairly large ornate metal bowl of red wine that he had just lapped up some wine from. Other customers were well used to the varied lifeforms of the area and took little notice except for a single child who Gratarg was in no way annoyed by. Indeed there was a skyhigh dragon crouched eating sweet-sour roasted whole chickens at a special designed table. The projected holographic image of Gramarg was weak, represented a poor communications link. Yet she was stronger with her empathic-telepathic link with him. “You will not find the deeply buried base easy to get into as there are special barriers wrapped around it.” Grafarg appeared, newly recreated, a new aspect of the Second Nine. She came as a TombRaider type in specialised tight power armour designed to accentuate the shape of her slimly muscular voluptuous body. Over her shoulder, on her back, was a great broadsword of exotic design and abilities. Holstered to both hips were large, powerful looking pistols. Yes, TombRaider, expert at breaking into ancient booby-trapped, complicated tombs designed to keep folks away from ancient artefacts, she knew also how to break into other tricky places. Grafarg stopped, sat at a table, and talked to the image of Gramarg. “I am back and I am here to assist.” Gratarg growled softly for a moment and then empath-telepathed. “Back, yes, and perhaps more to be trusted but still we will choose to be careful with you. You gained data on the base inside a base inside a base!?” Grafarg sighed even as she signalled a human waitress to come to her with a menu. “Only information on a secret expedition that attempted to travel deep beneath the Earthen Isles. It was done by the organised crime syndicate known as the Aardvark Collectors Club, a joke I suppose, that specialised in trying to obtain forbidden artefacts to sell to the highest bidder. The expedition was large, well organised and well equipped including with well armed power armoured mercenaries, robots, cyborgs and many specialists. It vanished with out a trace in the deep area known as the Deeplight Caverns.” Then Gradarg appeared with a sparkling, shimmering effect. She-he was three energy beings of glowing golden-white solar elemental nature, of glowing green life elemental nature and glowing blue phase elemental nature. Gratarg turned to study the three that were one that were three. Then he empath-telepathed. “Welcome to existence, Gradarg. We will form a special taskforce and travel down to the Deeplight Caverns that are a great labyrinth of glowcrystal lit tunnels and caverns along with greater suncrystal lit caverns. They are like the Lamplight Caverns in the DC Wastelands in the former USA but much larger. Yes, I know of them for the wozfolk have a colony down there as do many other peoples who dwell here on the surface and in the subsurface zones.” So it was decided, at least in a basic sense. Much planning had to be done and many more decisions had to be made. Edited May 4, 2011 by Maharg67
Maharg67
CITY OF CYBORGSTO THE RESCUE BUT TOO LATE Graharg stood on a big mound of rubble even as close to him a team was taking up a smashed robot for purposes of recycling. In the distance was the great tower where the Undeath Nine had been in a big ring focused on that tower but they were gone now. He spoke to the others gathered on the large, flat top of the big mound that had once been a ten level building of the Auziland Commonwealth and Territories. The ACT’s capital was destroyed except for a few scattered small areas and facilities. Many had died there but most had managed to escape. Of the lesser undead, they were either dead or converted in a special elemental or fundamental fashion. Trails of smoke drifted up high into the sky where black dots, birds, flew along with some larger dots that were sort of deathclaw like wingclaws. Grazarg, Grayarg, Grararg, Grabarg and Grakarg were there in tall humans in exotic appearing power armour type shapeforms, including those who were often in more than one shapeform. These six members of the Second Nine stood in a circle facing inwards. On the ground at the centre of the circle was a small heap of mechanisms and solid-state portable databanks each able to store up to a hundred terabytes of data. These items had been taken from the huge armoured trucks that had carried the Undeath Nine in special security status storage. The trucks had been hitech and ultratech equipped to keep the Undeath Nine locked down safely but had failed to do so anyway. Graharg empath-telepathed. “The Undeath Nine are gone but are somewhere. We must find them as soon as we can.” Grayarg empath-telepathed. “We fear that the Undeath Nine either went into SanctuaryClave or went to some in between place that can get them there. The lesser undead they left behind were weakened in power and easy enough to deal with. Many were saved by elemental or fundamental conversion mainly because of the absence of the Undeath Nine and the relatively short time they had been turned.” Data from the five portable solid-state databanks before them and clues taken from the other devices, indicated that the Undeath Nine were trying to get back to their home world of AltEarth #0123456788 but the reason was only hinted at. It seemed they wished to carry out some kind of revenge attack against what they called the Necroticom that had originally created the Necrotica beings by transforming them from their original lifeforms. The Undeath Nine were originally the First Nine as appeared on Alternate Earth #0123456788 but they had fallen under the control of the Necroticom and had been transformed. Yet such was the battle they had fought with the Necroticom that it was badly damaged and it sent the Undeath Nine to AltEarth #0123456780 to there find some form of solution for the troubles of the Necroticom. They instead found there the ongoing invasion of both the Great Undeath and Great Shadow that had some weird relationship of both battling each other and fighting alongside against common enemies. The Great Undeath and Great Shadow had some things in common but far more differences, including extreme differences. It turned out that the Mr Smithdom was an extension, representative of both the Great Shadow and the Great Undeath, being another hard to understand relationship between very alien entities. They wanted to find out what was the true nature of the Necroticom. A pattern was still forming and it seemed that final answers would be soon coming. It was decided: they would all go to SanctuaryClave and assist in its defence against the Undeath Nine. Edited May 4, 2011 by Maharg67
Maharg67
WAYS OF THE ETERNAL CHAMPION (LONE WANDERER)THE (RE)BIRTH OF THE ETERNAL CHAMPION (LONE WANDERER) The birth of Jasmine Ashblaze in the well hidden and heavily fortified Hexagon research, development and specialised industrial base was so difficult that her mother, Catherine, came close to dying. But she did not and slowly but steadily recovered to mother her daughter. She was a good scientist but also a good mother. James Ashblaze was a great scientist and an okay father. Jasmine was also mothered and fathered by the Cranelee Family of scientists and their children along with a grandmother nurse and some other relations. But on the day of the birth this was all yet to occur. The Hexagon had been looted of many of its resources before the Enclaven had abandoned it just after Doomsday but much still remained. Also the Dharma Directive people had brought in as many new resources as they could as they had secretly occupied and fixed up the huge hexagon base that was quite deep below a famous landmark in the DC Wastelands of the former USA. The birthing ward was quiet and rather metallic bare with two Sisterhood of Steel medics waiting to one side ready to assist if needed. Sharp bright fluroflats lit the space from the ceiling. A modular tower of equipment monitored the medical condition of both mother and child. The Sisterhood of Steel, at the time, were an auxiliary force to the Brotherhood of Steel since the brotherhood only allowed men in its soldier caste and few women into other castes. Of course the mother was there. Catherine was lightly drugged and was pushing, pushing the baby out of herself. James was there, assisting, was Doctor Shelly Richards and Doctor Kate Bush. There were two other special birthing beds in the ward but only the one was occupied thanks to the relatively small population of the Hexagon and the Doomsday caused problem of high human infertility rates. Which was one of the problems that the Hexagon taskforce was seeking to solve. A couple of nurses, both replicant androids, and a human-cyborg orderly were also assisting. Healthy child births had become vitally important and highly valued since Doomsday and for good reasons. Malformed babies and bad mutational influences were both to be feared though only in the worst of cases were the newborn terminated. When Jasmine emerged as a girl baby, all wet and adorable but a little on the pinkly ugly side, she was soon proven to be quite ‘normal’. She let out a cry and that was reassuring. Then she was given over to a weakened Catherine even before the umbilical cord was cut. The mother held her baby girl and smiled. Then she fainted. Catherine had already shown signs of trouble and so all was prepared. She had a difficult time but lived and three days later was nursing Jasmine at her breast. The good news spread through the great underground base. Edited May 4, 2011 by Maharg67
Maharg67
BACKGROUNDSPECIES, SUBSPECIES AND THE EFFECTED HUMANITY IN THE WASTELANDS CAN BE DIVIDED INTO THE FOLLOWING: NONE GHOULIFIED ‘NORMS’.Normkins that seem like the norms of the secured DeepShelters but who have had many Wastelands influences on them.Normfolk that are really norms coming out of VaultTekVaults, Enclaven Enclaves and other underground, sealed, self sufficient zones. QUASIGHOULIFIED patchskins, roughskins, hairskins, furskins, paleskins and jelskins. Patchskins are multiple coloured ‘skinfolk’ with extra protection against harsh, hard sunshine. Roughskins have rough grey skin that is thick enough to give them greater protection against physical attacks and radiation. Hairskins have a short, thick layer of hair all over them that helps them against the cold of Wastelands nights. Furskins are like hairskins but with thicker, longer hair and they prefer to dwell in colder areas. Paleskins are albino folks with extra night-vision capacity and other enhancements to exist in the dark. They tend to be nocturnal but also function at dusk and dawn when they mingle with dayfolk. GHOULIFIED, THE EXOTICS Savage zhouls, heavily ghoulified and deformed. Almost mindless but with amazing pack coordination. Retractable clawblades, double head-horns and natural boneskin armouring. They have natural spinedart shooting devices on their forearms (spinedarters). Red-brown boneskin. Rhouls that are more passive versions of zhouls. Rhouls can fight savagely but they tend to be defensive-aggressive only. Rhouls are more intelligent than zhouls. Have retractable clawblades, spindedarters, boneskin and a single head-horn. Yellow-brown boneskin. GHOULIFIED, THE REGULARS Ghoulers (feral ghouls?) savage berserker ghouls using basic weapons and armouring. Cunning but not highly intelligent. Smart enough to use guns, to maintain them but not to design or make or repair them. (Ghoul raiders?) Small minority. Ghoulkin that are common ghouls with obvious ghoulification causing sensitivity to bright, hot sunshine. Otherwise standard human traits and abilities. Majority of ghouls. Semighouls being ghouls with less obvious ghoulification. Large minority. Subghouls being ghouls with little obvious ghoulification who are almost as savage as ghoulers but smarter and more dangerous. A giveaway is a strange red tinge to the eyes that tend to be sensitive to bright hot sunshine. A small minority, thankfully. Demighouls being ghouls with out any outward signs of ghoulification at all. They sometimes have special psychic abilities including empathic-telepathy. psionics and phaseonics. A small minority. Superghouls (the BeautifulOnes) being beautiful appearing humans to look at but being rare ghouls with enhanced physical, mental and psychic abilities including psionics, empathic-telepathy and phaseonics. GHOULIFIED, TOXICS Trogs, deformed, physically powerful deformed humans. Fast, agile, savage but with only low intelligence. Trobs, being like Trogs but smarter and able to use weapons including guns but not able to design, make or repair them. Shogs, being larger, slower, more powerful versions of trogs. Maharg67
CITY OF CYBORGSSANCTUARYHUB IS FREE SanctuaryHub ceased to be under attack and was no longer isolated from the rest of SanctuaryClave but the Second Nine were still concerned. The Undeath Nine had done something but what? Where were they? All inhabited zones of SanctuaryPrime of SanctuaryClave were put under full security alert even as the last of the troubles were being put to an end. Shadow units were destroyed or had vanished. Mr Smithdom had not been observed in some time or any Shadowthings. Much effort and many resources were being put into recovery efforts but also into preparing for more troubles to come. SanctuaryHub was undergoing a series of urgent repair programs and extensive diagnostic sweeps through its networks of network-systems. All of the Second Nine were now in or entering SanctuaryClave to help deal with the threat against it. Gramarg was not sure how wise a move this was but she had to admit that the Undeath Nine had to be dealt with. Graharg, Grararg, Grakarg, Grayarg and Grabarg were travelling to SanctuaryPrime of SanctuaryClave with military and civilian personnel along with refugees from the Auzilander Commonwealth and Territories. They were coming in transDships that were altered and augmented aeroships now able to slip across limited transdimensional barriers. It seemed that the ACT had suffered already from a series of disasters and other troubles, thanks to both Mr Smithdom and plain bad luck, and it was now fragmenting. Warlords, with their armies of bandit mercenaries, were taking advantage of the growing chaos as were various more fanatical political and religious factions. It was suspected that at least one Mr Smith was behind the arming and manipulating of these factions. So refugees were seeking the hopeful safety of SanctuaryClave. Gratarg, Grafarg and Gradarg were travelling down into the depths of the land along with BetaThirteen and the others of a large expeditionary force. Wozfolk and earth-dragons were leading them along with properly programmed cave-robots. As they went they found that tunnels, elevators and various outpost bases had been sabotaged and-or booby-trapped. So the expedition was slowed down in a frustrating manner as fresh supplies had to be sent down from the surface. Something was blocking the use of phaseshift or teleportation so the supplies had to come via the slower way. Maharg67
CITY OF CYBORGSTHE APPROPRIATION OF CYBORG CITY (TO SANCTUARYCLAVE) Cyborg City, the Triplecity, vanished with a great sparkling shimmer of energies to leave a vast roughly bowl shaped hole in the ground but one that was smoothed with a glass like skin. Other things outside of this area had been taken along with the whole of the ACT. This included lifeforms linked with the city of three cities. Cyborg City appeared in an empty, very arid, lifeless plane of land inside the outskirts of SanctuaryHub itself. Now there was the more fertile semiwilderness areas as well as urban areas. Of course there was great confusion but not as much as might have been expected to have occurred. The irony was obvious to the Second Nine that many of them had gone from Cyborg City to SanctuaryClave only to find themselves facing Cyborg City again. The city was fully powered and all the utilities were functioning; indeed everything was functioning better than it had been before and generally the Triplecity seemed to have been rejuvenated, repaired and regenerated. There was still no sign of the Undeath Nine. Edited May 4, 2011 by Maharg67
Maharg67
CITY OF CYBORGSCONFUSION Understandably enough, the Second Nine were thrown into confusion. They all gathered together except for those led by Gratarg deep below the Earthen Isles. They stood where the Auzilanders were attempting to come to terms with what had happened as they found themselves back in their old territories now transferred. Below a blue sky dotted with big white clouds, the Second Niners there formed a great loose circle and formed an empathic-telepathic network-link. Gramarg empath-telepathed. “The Triplecity was basically the anchor of SanctuaryClave to Alternate Earth #0123456789 but some force unleashed that anchor and it was drawn up by SanctuaryClave into SanctuaryClave. This area where the Triplecity came to rest was placed here in case this very event occurred which is why it has always been kept barren. Was this place meant for an emergency or was it always planned that one day the Triplecity would end up in SanctuaryClave.” “We have come to believe that when the First Nine were formed, they were formed on many Alternate Earths at once but more than that, we suspect that all of these First Nines are and have always been linked as one entity. What this actually means, that is yet to be worked out. Gravarg and I know that this is probably why the truth of the Nines has been so hard to discover.” Another of the Second Nine joined them being Grawarg of the gragoyles, a massive gragoyle herself. Grawarg took command of a growing army of gragoyles. Then came Gragarg the Enabler who arose with an army of service and support entities who would work behind the scenes to maintain the coming military effort against the Undeath Nine. Gragarg was neither he or she but it of many bodies, each of them of a difference shapeform and purpose, each of them controlling many graborgs, grabots and gradroids. In an emergency Gragarg and its entities could join in the fighting. Graharg had doubts. “Perhaps we have been led to this conclusion. Perhaps we have been provided with data to lead us to this place. You may notice that we are now all in one time-place. We are removed from the Alternate Earths.” Yes, it could be a trap but if so for what reason? Also who or what had led them into a trap? The others did not seem to share the fears of Graharg. The Second Nine entities dispersed outwards. Gramarg and Gravarg returned to their research but the others went in many directions. Most to defensive operational bases but Gragarg went to where it could begin service-support operations. Except that Graharg himself staid on top of the mound and meditated. After a short time Grazarg returned to sit close to him as if keeping guard on his ‘brother’. Graharg was trying to clear his mind so that he might rediscover something important that he had missed. Then he stood and spoke to Grazarg. “Come with me for we are going to take a tour of Cyborg City to some sites of possible great importance. Perhaps there we will find some needed answers.” In the past Grazarg would have resented being ordered around but at that moment he simply followed with out complaint. They both vanished with a sparkling shimmer. Edited May 4, 2011 by Maharg67
