Hmm so your looking for more of a rivet city feel or maybe like a bioshock like home.

Where its kinda drippy and dark and a little isolated but has all the stuff you need right?

Hmmm well let me look through my resources for a moment and see what I can offer as assistance.

These are from Fallout 3 but you might port them and make something for yourself, or you can get permission (if you need to but thats probably not neccesary)

Exactly, you got my vision just right.

Sadly I'm not planning on learning how to make my own mods, but if someone might be interested in creating something similar to what I have in mind I bet those resources will come in handy.

Thanks a lot.

Lopoko09 mentioned a submarine which is also a great idea for a hideout, and could fit very nicely with the atmosphere I'm looking for. That's more interesting than my original idea, yet perhaps harder to achieve.

Broken submarine at the bottom of a lake... would be awesome.

If it proves too hard or even impossible to make you can just skip the water draining thingy and just let the room be full of water anyway. People could imagine the rest I guess.

The thing about the water is that it adds another layer of security to the home.

I'm kinda hooked on the submarine hideout idea right now though. Guess it'd be kinda hard to make without exploiting Fallout 3 DLC though...

Hmm, Not a modder, but I think the water draining idea could be done with scripting.

Like perhaps a script to cause the entire room to raise up in the worldspace (obviously without the player noticing) since as far as I know, you can't decrease water height once its set.

The room rising with the player inside will look in-game like the water level is decreasing.

Hmm also to the topic starter, I'd suggest looking at things like the intro to cube experimental (where the PC is dragged and the floating text) or try to find a time in either Fallout 3 or NV where water drains like that, (Perhaps something like with project purity in Fallout 3).

Hope that helps somehow.
