Daerk
I remember that one... I liked it because I could take frustrations of the day out by chopping down TREES and makin stuff with their diced up bits... *glances around to make sure there are no tree-huggers about* -- D

DreamOfTheRood
I'm going to disagree with all of the repliers and say that this sounds like it could be a good idea. In fact, I think blackmage should start modding it as soon as he gets out of the hospital. However, that could take a while. I hear some of our moderators can become rather violent when offended. Not that I'm implying anything.

Duskreaver
Okay: a few points. (bear with me) First of all, that remark, and I quote: C'mon, I can bet most of the chicks who play and have a stronghold have decorated the poo outta that place... and how better to decorate it than custom made Glass and Clay dishes? was not only horribly chauvanistic but utterly pointless... with the current Morrowind decorating system, namely, put it down and hope it ends up where you want it too[i/], would be horribly unsuited to this kind of 'mod'... but it's okay, you can rwrite the graphics engine while you're there, so not to worry. Secondly, the blacksmithing, tailoring etc, is all possible. Some replier's ildy mentioned that they would work out brilliantly in an online game but not a single player. I would ahve to agree with that completely, and also say that there IS a game that offers all that, in fact, to a certain extent two. Ultima Online, and Star Wars Galaxies. Okay, so that's out of the way, but to my most important point: Moderator's. Now, this is going to rant. First of all, I'm assuming that the mod's that replied aren't joking. Okay, mod's. Ask yourself this, and try and see through the ego that seems to have blocked your vision. Why am I here? Now, you could answer that one of two ways: To stop members breaking the rules. Or, and this is what most experienced mods will say, to help members do the right thing. Now, this isn't the approach that I've seen a couple of mod's take (though admittedly, Helll and Switch have been VERY helpful). There have been unruly lockings which I will not go into, but most of all it's the problem here that's got to me - Okay, this immature guy (forget his name) makes a chauvanistic remark that may or may not have been correctly interpreted. Big deal... however, a whole big thing seems to be made out of ThetaOronis' so-called 'violence'... Now, if the kind of violence I am talking about is what you mean, then I don't call it moderating at all, I call it dictating, and abuse of power - Why should a moderator be able to reak particular havoc on a member just because they can? It's not only completely unfair, but it also strikes me of such well - known names as Moussolini, Franco, and ultimately Hitler. Now, I would not go nearly as far as to say that this is how Theta is acting, but it smacks of it. Now, Theta (and I use her name soley because she is the only mod I have experienced a problem with) will probably reply saying that this is all, and I use these terms lightly, 'codswallop, tosh, bull.' Of course. Rudimentary self-defence mechanism. That's fine - I'm not stopping her defending herself, quite on the contrary. I'm not trying to cast her down without her fair say - I just think that you all need to realise that you are MODERATORS. You Moderate, not perform crude acts of 'justice' upon members who screw up. You check that posts are present and correct, and correct them if they are not. That's all... This place seems to be far too wrapped up with it's own power - Dark One and the others seem to have lost sight of the fact that they aren't running a medieval fifedom.... Of course, I more than expect to get banned, now, but unless this forum shapes up its act bigtime I'm not sure I particularly want to be here anyway. Okay, and please note that Theta is not the object of this - She's done some bad moderating, certainly, but I don't know. I could be wrong. Also, please don't take my low post-count against me - I've had a HUGE amount of experience in this particular area. This is a request, not a furious tirade, however it appears. Just a plea for help... this place could be SO amazing, but it isn't. Not now. I dunno, maybe you need my help, maybe you don't. I'm open to suggestions... All I know is that things need to change. ~~~~Mod's, please post your inevitable flames in the Site Feedback section thread I made - no need to clog up a perfectly good thread~~~~
Shakkara
I would say you need ultima online. On the freeservers of course ;) Besides that, I don't know if the player should do all the item crafting, but there sure should be NPC services to craft or customize your stuff, like enchanting, but differently. Blackmage
I've played MMOs with the whole Tradeskills thing in it, and I enjoyed it. But that's besides the point. I'm saying that it would give you something to do with all that extra glass, ebony, and scrap metal... I know that I have tons of stuff like that laying around my stronghold for when I finally get around to the whole Alchemy thing... Don't want to have to buy all that expensive stuff back from merchants. And I don't know about everyone else here, but I do like to roleplay when I play Morrowind, even though I'm by myself... I guess I'm a loser like that. I think that Smithing, tailoring, crafting, baking, etc would all be fun from that vantage point. EDIT: Edited out the top comment. Yes well how you couldn't mean offense by that is hard to believe. Don't try trolling on these forums, or you will face the wrath of the mods

Rynos
What exactally are you trying to say that you think because theta is a girl and took a sexist remark offencivly that you are calling her a bad modderator and that she is compared to a dictator such as hitler????? *edit* Ive reread your reply and I see your also saying all the Mods are corrupt... And that Dark0ne is letting his forums go to "medieval fifedom" whatever the hell that is....
