bubbashrubba Posted June 20, 2015 Share Posted June 20, 2015 Hi I'm using the millenia weapon replacer fwe wmk rh sights patch found here http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/20982/? and it works great. However since I am using FWE I also have calibr. being that the chinese assault rifle is replaced by the ak-47 I wanted it to shoot 7.62 rounds found in the calibr mod instead of 5.56 so I went into the geck and opened up the esp with all the masters files required, setting the patch as my active esp. I then preceded to change all variants of the weapon to the desired ammo type . I saved the esp file and made sure it loaded last in my load order and booted up the game. Oddly enough the other rifle works as intended however the AK has reverted back to the chinese assault rifle. I was smart enough to back up the original esp and when loaded the replacer works again. I have tried many different things in the geck to attempt to get this to work and each time the ak replacer stops working despite the esp being last in my load order. I change no other entry nothing at all except for the ammo type I dont edit any nif files. I am by no means an expert with the geck so I dont know if I did anything wrong if anyone has any idea why this must be the case i would love to know. Thanks in advance. bubbashrubba Posted June 21, 2015 Author Share Posted June 21, 2015 .In game the chinese assault rifle with no weapon mods attached seems to work as intended an ak47 with 7.62 ammo type but all kitted up variants (scope silencer etc) dont work. I think I have figured it out. The patch references the esp weapon mod kits which because the patch is an esp shouldn't work as they shouldn't be able to reference each other but the weapon Id is the same and even though the patch is loaded last the wmk entrys are not overridden due to my meddling (this is apparent due to the fact the other rifle works fine). So the logical step is to turn my wmk esp into an esm with wyre flash and change every esp that needs the esp as a master to the esm version. Arkngt Posted June 22, 2015 Share Posted June 22, 2015 (edited) This is really easier to do with FO3Edit: Load Assaultrifle_replacers_WMK+RH+FWE.esp and CALIBR.esm in FO3EditRight-click on Assaultrifle_replacers_WMK+RH+FWE.esp > Add master > CALIBR.esmCopy the AMMO Form ID you want to use from CALIBR.esm and change to it in the first AK47 weapon AMMO record in Assaultrifle_replacers_WMK+RH+FWE.esp, then you can copy/paste it from there for all WMK variants.You might want to take fitting Projectiles from the FWE esm and do the same for those AK47 records.
