Deleted5770650User
An option to dislike, thumbs down, etc. would is soemthing the site can use.An option to hide the sites endorsement windows would be a good thing.also An option to hide the donation prompts at download would be a good thing. For me.I have nothing again endorsing mods, but I won't do so until after I have used the mod, and know if it worth it.If I am going to endorse something it will only be after I have decided if it is worth it. Same for donations. I have nothing against them, but the site asking me to donate before I know if the mod is worth it.If I am going to donate to someone it will only be after I have decided if that mod is worth it. However unlike endorsements getting asked to donate before having used the mod at all seems like begging to me, and if anything ensures it wont happen. Oubliette
Endorsements aren't able to be left immediately upon download. If you're receiving endorsement messages during download these are for files you've already downloaded, they're a reminder that you haven't endorsed or declined to endorse those files yet, nothing more. I'm not a fan of the additional popups myself, so I download with manager as often as possible, this easily bypasses the mild annoyance of the popups in most situations. You can then easily handle your endorsements from your download history page at your convenience. But since these features were implemented by request and after serious consideration - it's very unlikely that they'll be going anywhere any time soon. DrakeTheDragon
A dislike or thumbs down mechanism is "very" unlikely to ever return. There was one in place in the past, initially, where even posts had "reputation" and people could thumbs-up/thumbs-down to raise or lower it, a sort of self-censoring tool for the community to dispose of unwanted posts instead of having moderators wade through them, or now the authors the pages of which they were posted on getting involved, and at the count of -5 or something the post got automatically hidden. Sadly the amount of abuse this system experienced was quickly getting overhand. Valid very useful posts by knowledgeable authors were suddenly "hidden" at every place for no reason at all, because a small group of troublemakers were teaming up against the author personally. Soon the trolls were able to effectively "silence" an author inside their own mod pages' comments, as nobody could see their down-thumbed posts anymore at all. And at the same time troll posts and nonsense junk got up-thumbed into heavens, visually marked as essential and crucial knowledge or information by the numbers of its reputation stats and the glaring green color, with no way to ever fix it again. After a short while already the trolls managed to invalidate the entire system from the get go. It was no longer serving any purpose and only causing damage anymore. At this point a majority decision in a vote topic decided it was time to get rid of it and never let it or something similar return again.
Rabbit1251
...not to mention those who set up multiple accounts just so that they could engage in this type of behavior. Pity, though. Rabbit

If that is the case something is wrong, I get that with all downloads regradless if I have downloaded them before or not. I am not suggesting the features are removed. What I am trying to suggest it an option to toggle them off similar to how to how can change a setting to show or hide all adult files.
