Until 2011, 5 years after oblivion release...

Finally I known this game, and went to join

Now still on downloading...

I am need to notice something specially on using mod on this game...? :wallbash:

Depending on your experience in working with mods in general say in other games ,but if your have no experience do some reading on how mods work and install and for your first mod pick something simple and with a well written readme .once you get started you will get better over time

downloading????

is it just me, or does it sound like you don't have a legal copy??

and if you don't know, piracy will get you banned faster than you'll know

so if you have a legitimate copy of the game, you should really say it now, before an admin sees this

back to your question, there are some things that you should know

the first is, you should never mod a game, until you have given it at least a dozen good hours of playing

why?? because you need to understand the game and how it works, and decide what you'd want to change

also, read how to install mods, download OBMM and OBSE and install both, and if you want to go even more serious and safe, get Wrye Bash as well

use Archive Invalidation before you start playing, because if not, you'll have problems (you won't see new content, all you'll see is yellow ! marks)

and this should be about it

if you don't know what something i just said is, just google it

it's really that simple

ok, so you are now downloading some mods

good to clear this up

getting banned for suspicion is horrible (getting banned anyhow is horrible, but if you didn't do anything wrong, it's even worse)

anyhow, choose a simple mod (usually the smallest mods are the best to start with, something with a few resources in it, like a single weapon or something)

follow the installation instructions to the letter, and learn your way around the Oblivion folder structure and such, and you should get at least the basics of installing mods

of course, don't jump right into the big mods after this

if a mod's page tells you that you need to know your way around Wrye Bash and BOSS in order to use that mod, don't even try it before you think you are qualified to (what the modders write on the mod pages is usually true, so if the mod page says you need to be an experienced user of mods to use the specific mod, it's usually true)

go slowly, expect errors (there are no real ways to avoid all errors, but carefully following instructions will limit these to the minimum)

also, when you do get problems, you should try searching for answers either here on the forum, or via google

you won't be the first to encounter any specific problem that you may have, and so there is a very good chance that answers are already written, and you just need to search and find them

this is all the advice i think you'll need, at least for now

Is the Wrye Bash and BOSS a way to ordering and list up the mod file by file that prevent crash?
