Shurikeeen
I dislike carrying 300 kg worth of dragon stuff around so is your room at Winterhold safe place to store them?
Skyrabbit
Yes, the chest and draws in the room you are first given are safe.
cdcooley
Not in my game. Everything in there resets for me if I'm gone more than 10 days. That's one reason I created my Storage Helpers mod with its craftable containers. I could never find enough safe places to store things (before I had raised enough money to by a house). Deleted3507349User
Been perfectly safe for my character from level 1 to (currently) level 36. If they're not safe you might have a mod conflict somewhere.
CaliburnusPDX
The issue never occurred to me since I got Breezehome in Whiterun almost immediately in the early days and have had many private homes since. However, there are a lot of places in Skyrim that don't respawn, ever. A well-known one is the abandon home in Markarth (it has over 60 safe containers in it) and the basement of the home is only ever used during a very short Molag Bal quest but otherwise remains empty and unused through the entire game. Anyway, there's a list of safe locations on the UESP here: http://uesp.net/wiki/Category:Skyrim-Places-Safe Note that some of the locations are not accessible until after their related quests are completed; then they become abandoned and never respawn. If you need free safe storage in a particular area then that's the place to look.
Deleted3507349User
The basement of Anise's Cabin is another convenient safe place, she gets a little irritated when you come back out though....
StatiSky
Honestly this has been the most asked/discussed topic question I have seen since Skyrim came out (aside from the legendary sea monsters in the far out boundries of the sea) with multiple people saying it's safe and a even larger number of people saying it erased all their stuff.I had only stored my items in there once and never played that save again and that was many moons ago but I wouldn't store it just too be safe.Either get a mod like dovahkiin Hideout,Ye Olde Hideout, dovahkiin Basement or like Hamburgers said use Anise's cabin which is proven a safe storage spot. I use Dovhakiin hideout because I can access from the arche mage quarters which I use a teleportation spell to get back too since I play reqiuem and keep fast travel disabled. Roscaria
Your room in the College of Winterhold has barrels and baskets. These should not be used to store items as they respawn. The bedside tables and wardrobes are safe to use, items still stored here from beginning of my game, now at Lvl 70.
