  1. Since the R* update scripthookRDR2V2 will get your game going but many mods need Alexander Blades version which hasn't been updated yet.
  2. Thanks for everything you do to the Nexus team and thank you to all the modders for all your hard work. Still the best site on the internet. :) Happy New Year everyone!
  3. If anybody comes here mistakenly as I did here is a possible solution. Since the last Skyrim SE live patch you will need to update your CK from the Bethesda.net site. Possibly every time there is an update!
  4. When I load a cell in the CK I see nothing but black in the render window. If I double click on an object in the cell window and move my mouse around in the render window it changes to the move cursor (four arrows) when I get near the center where the object should be. It seems like the object is there but I am not seeing it. Can anybody help please? Edit- Sorry, should have said this is 64bit CK for Skyrim SE.
  5. Welcome to modding Skyrim! If you are able to, you should check out tutorial videos on youtube. I recommend those made by Gopher. You can watch them in small sections and follow his advice. It seems very confusing to begin with but you will soon understand the basics. Good luck and remember we were all newbs once and we all made mistakes! (and still do)
  6. Good interview and it helps us to remember that mod authors are real people too, who should be treated with respect and gratitude for what they do (for free). Thanks for all your work Chesko!
  7. In response to post #29905930. I completely agree Hoamaii. There is something different about this site that I have not found anywhere else on the internet. It is difficult to define, but we must be careful not to kill the 'magic'. Best wishes to all the Nexus staff. :)

    NMM

Have a look at the NMM download page. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/modmanager/? There are several links which might help, including a dedicated forum where you will get better answers than here. Good luck!
  9. In response to post #27188304. Good point, well made.
  10. Yes, the chest and draws in the room you are first given are safe.
  11. Thanks Boombro. I have just discovered that my conflicts were not to do with hud mods. So I can use ihud again. Although I think I will try Minimal Hud first.
  12. Does anyone know of a mod which just makes the crosshair disappear when a ranged weapon or spell is not equipped? I have tried ihud and lihud but these have had conflicts with other mods. Thanks for looking.
  13. I love this community and have been very concerned by recent events, particularly the abuse dished out to mod makers. However these are very much '1st World Problems' ! I would encourage you to think about our wider community and donate to the Nepal Earthquake appeals. If you have not done so already and can afford to, please do. Lets all be a bit more tolerant and forgiving and get a sense of proportion about things. :) Particular thanks to Dark0ne and Gopher for being calm and rational. ( Moderators. I am sorry if this is not an appropriate use of this forum. I have deliberately not included any links. )
  14. This is a great project idea. A couple of points to think about:- Changing extent of ice on rivers, lakes and the sea. Forcing Frostfall users to consider swimming to certain locations. Changing volume of water in lakes, rivers and waterfalls. Enabling Frostfall users to wade to some locations without swimming. Waterfalls are perhaps a step too far! You could get in touch with SjoertJansen who created SkyFalls and SkyMills - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/40564/? , for some advice. Good luck with this project, I will try and help if I can. Edit- I've had a look at your proof of concept. It seems to work fine. I am seeing frost/snow on trees and fewer ground cover plants. Also there are no harvestable crops at the farm. A good taster of how it would feel to struggle to find food and ingredients in the winter. As you will have realised, I am an avid Frostfall and iNeeds user!
  15. In response to post #23020454. Having the same issue with the text/background colour of the 'x hours ago' notification. I have looked at the Skyrim, Oblivion and Fallout NV pages, they all use the same colours for the notification dropdown. A secondary issue is that often, but not always, when I try to remove notifications using the red cross in the top right corner I am only able to do this once. After reloading the page I am able to remove one more. Not a major problem for me but I know you like to be kept informed about these things. Thanks for your continuing hard work Dark0ne and team. :)
  16. In response to post #21472384. Agree completely with d0mini! Happy New Year Dark0ne and all your colleagues and all who use the Nexus.
  17. When you are looking at graphics cards pay attention to the memory bus. 256 bit min, 512 bit much better!
  18. The problem might be your GPU which I think has a 196 bit bus. From what I have read it can only use 1.5gb of vram at full speed. The remaining 512mb works quite slowly. Keep the texture mods to a minimum as you are doing and try limiting your max FPS to 30 or 40. This gives the game a chance to do all the other things and should stabilise the frame rate and help a bit with stutter.
  19. We need more information in order to help you. Have a look at the first link below.
  20. Welcome to the forum! So much to find out about! I would not add any mods yet. There is an introductory sequence at the beginning of the game which you should get through first. I will try not to spoil it for you but after this part you will eventually emerge from a cave. Once out you should make a save and keep it safe (do not overwrite with subsequent saves!). This save is a fall back in case you mess something up later (you will, we all did!). The Unofficial Patches are pretty much essential, make sure you get them in the correct load order as shown on their mod page. As Novem99 said, Gopher is your friend. He has covered most aspects of playing, modding and maintaining Skyrim in an informative and entertaining way. After the Unofficial Patches you should only install one mod at a time and make sure it is working. If it doesn't work you can then return to a previous save. I know that sounds a bit tedious when there are so many goodies waiting to be downloaded but it is worth being methodical to keep things running smoothly. Good luck and enjoy! Don't hesitate to come back here for help.
  21. There are load of smaller texture packs for specific things like rocks, trees, armor etc. Many of them offer 2 or 4k options. By choosing carefully and only adding one at a time you can make quite an improvement without affecting performance too much. Look in the 'Models and Textures' section of NexusMods.
  22. As Camaro_69 says, you will probably need to remove the 3 HD-DLCs. I have the same GPU (2gb) and 4gb of system ram and it cannot cope with that sort of demand.
  23. OK, First you need to clean all the files with dirty edits in them. Use TES5edit to do this. Have a look at Gophers videos to see how. http://www.gophersvids.com/skyrim--modding-.html Lots of other useful videos on that page. I suggest you also remove 'Weapons and Armor Fixes.esp' and 'Weapons and Armor Fixes_Hacks.esp'. As indicated, they are replaced by the Unofficial Skyrim Patch. By doing all this you will narrow down the possible causes of your problem, but maybe not solve it yet!
