Need help. 116mods. CTD after 5-10mins.

So. I've been modding my game.

So far so good.

BUT,every 10minutes I CTD.

I have added enough Memory with the SKSE thing and also deleted anything I thought might be causing it (I went from 145mods to 116).

But it still CTD after around 10minutes.

I would love some help thanks :D!

I will try Wyre Bash, but I would still like someone to explain to em how,as I really am confused with it!

EDIT: I am fairly certain I am hitting the 3.1GB limit. This is a shame, but I will remove any mod I do not want/need.

I may even just uninstall WarZones and hope that fixes it.

This will happen to you over and over as you continue to mod your game.....

Please, someone correct me if I'm wrong

But one red flag that sticks out to me is warzones. That mod is unsupported, has been for years, and if I remember correctly was made before the CK (meaning made with programs like Tesvsnip), therefor corrupted and (maybe not immediately, but eventually) save-breaking.

I would say if you're a modding n00bz0r, check out the STEP guide. But if you don't want to do that I'll just make it very simple: Familiarize yourself with either a combination of NMM and Wrye Bash (what I still use) or Mod Organizer (what the cool kids use). Familiarize yourself with LOOT. BOSS is a passable substitute ONLY for experienced modders who know how and where and why to adjust their load order, as its masterlist is out of date. Familiarize yourself with Tes5Edit. There are tons of YT tutorials on this stuff.

For something you might find useful I wish I had known when I'd started using Skyrim mods, google bashed patches and merged patches (edit, I know you already have a bashed patch, but make sure it's done properly. And merged patches, even though they're giving me a headache ATM, have saved me more trouble than bashed patches). They're very similar, very simple, and will save you a lot of time and/or heartache.

In short, your mod list is fine. There's no reason it shouldn't work (With the possible exception of warzones)... And it's not very extensive. I have 346 plugins I use, (only 143 of which are active) thanks to the merge plugins script v 1.9. I have the odd CTD issue, but crashing every 10 minutes with only what you have installed is not right. Time for some googling/YTing. Also, you may want to try the Skyrim Performance Monitor, just IN CASE it's a memory/CPU/GPU issue.

There's no working mod list. You just need to install basic stability precautions.

SKSE, ENB, uGrids, Safety load, memoryblockslog

Did all of that. I'm fairly sure it's the 3.1GB thing. Anyway,I'm moving to MO!

Also,I have the unofficial patches, weird that they didn't show up.

Thanks! I'm fairly sure it must've been WarZones. Again thanks, and I'll move to MO! :D

It isn't necessary to move to MO. Using NMM is just fine. MO has some very specific issues and, to me, is best used by experience mod users who understand its structure thoroughly.

Katy had a lot of very good suggestions. I will add to what she said by pointing out that you are running a lot of high-res texture mods and mods which are heavily scripted, such as Perkus Maximus, More Encounters and Dynamic Skill Progression. All of these things will put a strain on your system and can cause crashes.

Frankly, I'd take Skyrim back to vanilla. (I have used this guide twice, with good success -- http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Make_Skyrim_Vanilla_Again ) Create a character for a test game that you use only to test new mods. Make this character outlandish looking and name them something fun; they can do all kinds of goofy things that you'd never do in a "serious" playthrough. Then, slowly reinstall the mods you want to keep. Read every mod description to make sure that mods are compatible with each other and that you don't need a compatibility patch to make things cooperate. Be sure you have the most recent versions also.

Good luck! :)

Thanks for the good luck! :D

I switched to MO because it has some very good features that will save me alot of time.

I am enjoying it alot so far,and it's imo(for me) simpler to use, well, apart from sometimes it asks me to rename mods.

I was a NMM loyalist because MO seemed really complicated and a steep learning curve. But since I mess around with mods non-stop (like, a stupid amount of messing around) I find MO more forgiving.

For instance, with NMM try using the CBBE body with Fair Skin with Bella Females with Adorable Face with Sporty Sweaty Sexy Map with WetBumps. It is literally a nightmare.

With Mod Organizer it's easy.
