Arms Stretched out, Can't move

has anyone ever experienced this? i deactivated all my mods except for my oblivion.esm and started a new game, and the problem continues. i'm thinking it must be something wrong with the data files? but haven't found any solutions..

another strange occurrence is even when the game doesn't crash or mess up at all (before now) since i obviously can't move at all now) every time i closed out of the game.. and error message would pop up saying an error has occurred the game must close. which never bothered me before because i was quitting anyway. just wondering why that would pop up after i closed out of the game..

Might be something wrong with your idle animation.

in Oblivion\Data\Meshes\Characters\_Male\IdleAnims there is .kf files

 

one of might be overriding your default one.

Usually this is a sign of missing bones; do you have Deadly Reflex installed?

 

Secondly, does this happen in first or third person?

Just unchecking the esp & esm doesn't remove the mod. The meshes, textures & animations are still loaded and can cause problems.

 

The revert to vanilla procedure will leave you with a true original game without having to reinstall.

Note that this does not remove the Bethesda official patch, as the only way to do that is to completely reinstall.
