Have you tried deleting ClientRegistry.blob in steam root directory? Also can't you just back up your skyrim directory, remove your current skyrim directory, start the game download in steam, wait for it to finish then copy your backup copy on top of the fresh installation? Alternatively, have you somehow put the file as hidden? Does the game launch from steam? Sometimes trying to launch corrects the error.

No matter how bad it becomes, whoever wins has to ally up with whatever they can find. Skyrim is pretty much screwed if they think they can act as a lone wolf against the aldmeri dominion. There's really no reason to be stingy who you're allying yourself up with when you're fighting an enemy who despises all non-mer people. There's no winners in the skyrim civil war. In my game where the empire won, the most likely outcome is that the Empire military leaders take the command due to Titus Mede II being dead, so it's likely the Empire might end up being led by the military branch, which is good for the war, but might be less good for the people living in the empire. You know how tullius acts.

The game outright CTD'd on me the moment I picked up a certain bow. No warning, no slowdown. Just poofgone. Not a huge issue since I kinda messed up badly on the battle before and it wasn't a big deal to redo it. And it didn't CTD after that. Hmm, otherwise the only issue I've had is that Valerica would not move at all! Good thing I have the console to get her to the places I need... All in all it has been as bugfree as skyrim. Sure there's been a few messups and problems, but on the whole, things have been pretty smooth.

Having some clipping issues I'd like to fix, but so far, despite looking I haven't found a .nif with the vampire teeth. Solved: they are stored, in argonians case, in skyrim\Data\Meshes\actors\character\character assets\mouth\mouthargonianchargen.tri using the handy blender tri script, it was trivial to shorten them. I didn't think that it was a .tri morph, but now that I know it makes perfect sense.

I tried renaming my textures folder _textures aswell as removing ENB files. No dice. I have official high resolution pack installed too.

While at first I found the streamlining of the game a slight bit apprehensive, what they are now adding, such as horse combat and other refinements means that there is still much hope for it. I have spent an inordinate amount playing tes3 and 4, and thus they resonate with me better, and their failings are less evident to me. I took a Skyrim hiatus for a while, and came back now, and I'm enjoying myself. It's one of the few AAA titles I do not regret dropping the full price at release day on.

Yes it would be very interesting to see solstheim, now that there's many dunmer refugees there. It's also probably the easiest way to give us a taste of this eras morrowind without having to remake the entire place. It'd be fun, because knowing dunmer, what little is left of the great houses would probably still fight with eachother. Oh and maybe you could meet Divayth Fyr, I'm sure he's still around.
