SgtxRussRuss
Hey everyone, I'm a newb at the whole modding thing. I've been doing a playthrough of Fallout 3 with mods this time. Everything has been working great. Until I tried to add the RobCo Certified mod and the RobCo Certified Engineer mod, now the game crashes every time before I can get to the menu. The problem seems to be coming from RobCo Certified. And I believe it's directly related to my load order. I have no idea how to order these. I've tried using BOSS but it didn't help. I'm attaching a screenshot of my current load order. Any help would be much appreciated by this humble newb. Thanks everyone!
M48A5
There are game specific forums and in those forums are sub-forums for troubleshooting: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/forum/288-fallout-3-mod-troubleshooting/ Now to your problem. You have compatibility patches for FO3 Wanderer's Edition and do not have that mod installed. This causes instant crashes on loading. Other than that there is nothing wrong with your load order. I see you are using Fallout Mod Manager, so you had to install and activate the mods yourself (as opposed to NMM, which does it automatically). You need to pay attention to what you are installing and activating. Remove the check marks for the two FWE patches and deactivate them in Package Manager. I think you should look at this guide: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/652876-fallout-3-modding-and-you/ Edited July 2, 2015 by M48A5
SgtxRussRuss
Thanks for the tips! I read through that guide and it turns out I've been doing things right I guess! WOOT. Except I haven't used FO3edit at all yet. Though I did download it before. As far as my issue goes, I did try disabling those FWE esp's and that didn't help. But those are from this RobCo Certified Engineering Fix patch I downloaded. I'll hold off on that until I get things working. Do you know of anything else I could try?
