ButchTheTunnelSnake
Hello, I have a companion mod in the works. It is my first time adding voice/lip sync to an npc, and the voice acting is done, and works fine. However, I am not to sure how to do lip syncing. If anyone knows a good tutorial for adding lip sync (for a pre-recorded .wav file) posting it here would be very appreciated, thanks :)

ButchTheTunnelSnake
I already looked at that one, but some of the links aren't there anymore, and I think it is a little outdated.
madmongo
The GECK as it ships is broken in a whole bunch of ways. I swear, it's almost like the GECK is an intentional vault-tec experiment designed to push the limits of modder's frustrations. One thing that is missing is the lip generator. You can poke around on google and maybe find a copy of it. If you have skyrim, the lip generator is in the sound\processing folder. Just copy that folder to your fnv directory. I believe a working lip generator is included with the oblivion creation kit as well, so you can copy it from either place depending on which games you have installed. Bethesda/Obsidian has updated the GECK since its initial release, and yet for some reason they have never bothered to put the files in place for the lip generator. It's almost like they want us to use a broken toolset. If you have all of your voice files in place and they work already, in the GECK all you need to do is bring up that dialog in the quest editor. Your wav file should show up down near the bottom, where it says voice type, mp3, wav, lip, ltf, and path. Click on that to select it, then click on the "from wav" at the bottom. The "generate lip file" option should now become active and you can click on it. Note that the GECK will not update the information on the screen, so it will still have an N under lip file even after you have generated it. Close that dialog option and re-open it and then you should see a Y under both the wav and the lip. If you record the voice files directly into the GECK (using the record button at the bottom of the dialog window) then when you press save it will automatically generate both the wav and the lip files.
