Where to find some decent warrior armor?

Hey,

I've got a lv 12 orc warrior with steel armor. I play warrior but sometimes sneak a bit. My weapon is an elven mace which is quite OK for this lv but I can't seem to find some non-mod-related-god-item good armor. It seems that no monsters wanna gimme some dwarven or whatever that's better than steel. I'm not very strong for a lv 12 since I dunt pay attention to lvling method (90 end. 86 str. I think).

If anyone knows a dungeon of shop of some sort where I can get some better than steel armor lemme know.

Oh btw, I dunt mind making people 'lose' it out of their chests during the night...

Hmm... Have you Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul installed, then?

Near the Panther river, is a fort, swarming with Raiders. i can't seem to remember the name, but the "Head Honcho", or the only Raider with a name, has some awesome equipment.

Are you a male or female Orc? If female, the Raider's sister has a fort north of the one her brother is in. She also has some pretty sweet attire and weapons.

Can you list the Forts' names? This sounds interesting. No worn armor, please!

If you can find Umbra (and kill her; she isn't pancake) you will get full Ebony armor along with the most powerfull blade in the game; Umbra. I cant remember the location exactly but she is somewhere south of the imperial city in a ayleid ruin which starts by "V". There is a way to kill her by not getting touched, if you like exploiting the game or you are just to desesperate to get her.

However do not despair! It is normal that you have that kind of armor. Just level some more and the leveling system will get you better drops! I think that at lvl 20+ you get ebony and 26 (or so) you find daedric. Over 16 is glass if dwarven and elven, I belive. Been a while since I played Oblivion, I forgot some things :).

First of all, thanks for all your replies so far. I'm happy to hear it's normal because I noticed I'm pretty weak against most foes. This is probably because of my str. of 84 and end. of 94 (I turned lv 14 today). The point is that I already increased both with the console cheat 'player.setAV [attr. or skill] [level] but it doesn't seem to do much:S. My health stays the same when i increase my endurance :S:S:S So if you could maybe tell me if that cheat helps? (I don't wanna cheat or exploit but I don't wanna be forced to train certain skills before others and since in this case cheating actually improves the playing experience I will, if it works that is.

Oh and I don't have obscuro's oblivion overhaul or whatsitsname installed.

Could you tell me more about it and what it is/does?

Ah, I checked oscuro's overhaul. Seems nice though I dunt wanna start a new game from scratch :(( so won't install it

Thanks for the hint on umbra or should I say deadladyinadungeon-bra :P

She's down, with a lil help of console cheat... dunt like to cheat but I almost had her and then she knocked me down too bad. To rebalance the game I dropped like 1.5k on dungeon loot I got. With cheating I only reduced the time it took since I could've just earned some money for potions... so np.

Thanks again all

All you have to do is play the Main Quest and start collecting Sigil Stones that impart Frost Shield, Shock Shield, or Fire Shield. If you wait until your character is Level 17, you get the highest quality of Sigil Stones.

Slap a couple of the aforementioned enchantments on your armor (any armor) and you'll easily reach the maximum protection available within normal game limits— all without console tweaks, special mods, or outright cheating.

Yep, Sigil Stones work wonders. My main character (Raven) wears nothing but a skimpy, barely-there leather harness most of the time... because I love seeing her that way. By itself, that harness has zero armor value (and zero weight, too). She doesn't get hurt, however, because every piece of her yummy little outfit is enchanted with +20 defense -- from lvl 17+ Sigil Stones. Her total armor class is in excess of what you'd normally get from the best armor in the game (if it wasn't enchanted). Add in her rings and amulet and her resistance to spells is plenty high enough.

For the really tough enemies, she slips into an enchanted set of Umbra's armor... which makes Raven nearly unstoppable (she also has over 400 base health).

You just gotta take some time to put together a good setup for your character. It's also very important to level them carefully, so you end up with the maximum possible Endurance as early as you can (it's not retro-active). Not even the best armor will save you from having too low health. :)

You run into some good stuff if you complete the Daedric quests. In the last Daedric quest you will run into warriors with full Daedric that you have to kill. Granted you have to be level 20 and you have to have completed all of the Daedric Quests.
