weetchex
i.e. Is there a mod that lets you have all the items that were retailer specific (caravan pack, tribal pack, etc.)? Is there anyone working on it? Is it something one would get in trouble for?
micalov
if its recreating them from scratch its no problem, it its using assets from multiple ones is copyright and piracy, copyright fo releasing stuff and piracy, becaause highly doubt the person pre ordered from 4 different outlets to get all the pre order DLC. viking99
There is relatively easy to edit the items yourself in the geck if you have some basic knowlege. You cannot get acces to the altered textures but some of the items like the armored vaultsuit is included in the game. There are numerous mods in New Vegas Nexus that change your starting equipment. Check out my mods Startkits and Startkits Factions under miscellanous in the list. If you want something else there are many more of them out there. Brigand231
Yes, there are many good mods that attempt to recreate the preorder packs using vanilla assets or handmade textures. There have been some folks that, when you ask them for their load order to help resolve conflicts, indicate they have all four preorder packs active. Not sure I'd go so far as to say they're pirates, though it's possible. I find it best to not prejudge people. Back around Christmas time I found a vendor on Ebay who was listing preorder codes for 99 cents each. If he had been willing to actually sell them for that much instead of charging $9.01 for shipping I would have bought the ones I don't have. For people who don't know about places like the Nexus or similar sites, there may be a willingness to pay that much for such things. I only found out about the Nexus from my sister's (now ex) boyfriend at a family gathering last Summer and even then, I didn't check it out until I had New Vegas. Let's not be so hasty in condemning folks. :)
