Shinigami7777
I've been trying to get http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=23661 working and it just wont show up for me no matter where I put it. Weirder thing for me is that it came with .nif.. but not .egm also? This is so confusing. All it comes with is one.nif file for meshes anda lot of .dds files for textures. I've put the folders in "Meshes" or "Textures" and race wont pick it up. Anyone have an idea?
Hickory
Tha'ts because it's a modder's resource (wrongly categorized) -- read the description in the download page.
Shinigami7777
Yes I know it tells me to use TESCS but I've got it to work without it before and I just can't anymore. Anyway so you're suggesting I use TESCE.. opening an excising race? then adding the hair for that race?
Hickory
That's the general idea, yes.
Shinigami7777
That's the general idea, yes. And only way of doing this is replacing an existing hair mesh? Anyways.thanks for the help I got TESCE and I figured out how to add and replace hair + drag it into the race. BUT to save it.. I can't replace files already in use and saving it as a new pluggin.. loading it doesn't do anything. Any tips on the saving process after you're done? wolveski
place the nif in meshes/characters/hair and the DDS in textures/characters/hair if the folders don't exist then you'll have make them open CS go to character>hair right click make a new hair call it anything you want, same for the name put a tick in playable and click add NIF file, browse to Nif file in /characters/hair click textures and do same browse to /characters/hair click ok open your races select body data on races you want to have your new hair click character>hair again and drag your new hair into race you want it for when done click ok and save esp as mynewhair (example) load oblivion click the esp and you should have new hair without replacing any of the old :)
