Xionith
I joined House of Hlaalu, and did all the quests until you get a sponsor. Then I got a sponsor and did like 5 quests for this guy because Crassius the retard told me too. How long until I get my own house? :(
Bad_Skeelz
You never get your own house, you only rise to power in the one you joined (in your case Hlaau). Can't help you any further because I was expelled/quit after the girl in Balmora got mad that I had "roughed up" the alchemist in Vivec. "Roughed up" as in "smashed her head in with a 40 pound stick of ebony named Umbra". So the moral of this story is: Don't join a house, kill your way through Morrowind. ThetaOrionis01
You do, however, get a stronghold of your own when you have advanced far enough in your house. I haven't joined House Hlaalu, so I don't know precisely at what point, but you will be told that you need to have a stronghold before you can advance further. Dagger of Symachus
First you need to get to the rank oathman (third rank). I would complete all of Nileno Doryayn's and Edryno Arethi's quests. This should put you up easily to a high rank and their quests aren't that high. Anyway talk to them about "advancement" and then they will tell you that you need to find a sponsor and that the best one (since he can be minipulated) is Crassious Curio. He tells you that he will be your sponsor if you take your clothes off (it sounds like he wants you to assasinate him when you hear it). So just do it (he won't even let you have rings or amulets on). You will then move up to the rank of lawman (rank four). Now go to The Hlaalu Council Manor in Balmora (where you took orders from Nileno Dorvayn) and then talk to Dondos Drilder about "Stronghold". He will then tell you that he needs a construcion contract and a land deed. Go to Duke Vedam Dren in The Grand Council Chamber in Ebonheart about "Construcion Contract". If you have all ready killed Dagoth Ur in the mainquest/backpath then he will give it to you just by talking to him about it. If you haven't then just tell him that you will help Vvardenfel with your new stronghold and he will give it to you. Now you have to get a land deed. Go to Vivec Hlaalu and talk to Varen Alen in the Hlaalu Treasury about "Land Deed". He will tell you that he has one he can sell to you. Go to his "Barter" option and there will be a land deed there for 5000 gold. Barter with him for it or kill him. Now that you have the land deed and the construction contract, return to Dondos Drilder and give them to him. He says that he will have your stronghold comeplete in a few days. Go do something else and then in a few days you will get a journal entry and go so Dondos Drilder. He tells you to go see Durbolm gro-Rush at the site of your stronhold (Odai Plateau, south-west of Balmore down the Odai River marked on your map, west of Hla Oad). Go talk to the orc and he will tell you that your stronghold will be done in a few days. Return to Dondos Drilder with this information and then go do something else for a few days until you get a journal entry and then go see Dondos Drilder. You now have a stronhold.
