Here's the load order, which I've messed with for far too long on my own with no success, CTDs on start up persist. Any assistance with it would be EXTREMELY appreciated, thank you in advance!

CTDs on Startup are usually due you having files listed in:

 

plugins.txt

 

loadorder.txt

 

and/or

 

DLCList.txt

 

when you do not actually have them in your Data directory, or you have something listed more than once.

 

 

These files (in Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit) will be in:

 

C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Skyrim

 

AppData may be a hidden folder, so you'll have to make it visible.

 

 

Best best would be to check those files and remove any duplicates, then run your load order sorter and mod manager again.

 

If you cannot find anything manually, change the names of those files to filnameBAK.txt, load the game from the launcher, exit and run the whole load ordering and mod managing again.

 

 

If that works and you REALLY want to locate the source of the error, you could copy/paste the contents of filename.txt and filenameBAK.txt into two columns in a spreadsheet, sort both alphabetically and visually inspect them to see what is missing or listed more than once.

 

Other causes of CTD on Startup could be when two or more mods conflict so badly they cannot work together, or cannot find something they are dependent on or require different versions to what you already have, but that can be more tricky.

 

But try my suggestion and please let us know what happens.

Its sounds like you have to many mods try taking out the one you don't want CAREFULLY if you don't do it carefully like if you took out a mod but not the patch/s to make another mods compatible with it the game will crash

No, he's got only just over half the maximum number of mods he can have, although he might have mods that require something else which he removed or was not included in the mod management.

 

Delete the *.txt files and rebuild them is the first step, then check for mod dependency afterwards.

 

He said he has CTD on startup, not CTD when loading a saved game.

CTD upon start up (just after Bethesda logo) is usually due to missing master file (.esm). If you do not already, use LOOT to sort your load order. You can find it at loot.github.io, to be safe I won't link it but either copy and paste that into the address bar or simply do a web search for "Skyrim LOOT" and it should be one of the first, if not the first result you get.

 

LOOT will tell you when it sorts your load order if you are missing any master files that will cause CTD on start up.

I can't recommend LOOT enough, some of your mods look pretty out of order. For example: Alternate Start should almost always be placed at the very bottom of your load order with the exception of bashed patches or other LAL compatible patches.

Use LOOT for your load order, you need to clean those offical master files (.esm) a.k.a update.esm, dragonborn.esm (clean it twice), heartfires.esm, dawnguard.esm and other mods that LOOT requires you to clean with TES5EDIT.
