I only see purple spaces on the floor!!!! I uninstalled the game 2 days ago and installed again.. what is the problem?? what's your version?did you install all the patches? do you have the DLCs? and did you install mods?if you reinstall again, delete all the oblivion folder, an unistallation doesn't remove mods and other non-vanilla files. and then try to follow this article: Oblivion patch advice
GodKingVivec
Sounds like youre missing the textures. If you used bsa or something make sure they went to the right place
ub3rman123
It might be a shader bug. Try installing the Official Oblivion Shaders Pack.
VollenMakermixer
It might be in the settings? If you go to c:documents+settings/user/mydocuments/mygames/oblivion and click on the folder marked oblivion (blend settings) you can scroll down and you will see near the bottom a subheading named grass, which contains the information on grass. If the fGrassEndDistance and the fGrassStartFadeDistance are both set at 0.0000 then that explains why you can't see it, and all you have to do is look up or ask someone for the original setting and change it back. Otherwise... i dunno lol. Hope it helped. Edited February 23, 2011 by VollenMakermixer
SimpleGlitch
Are the purple spaces where the grass should be or the ground itself? If it continues and you can't find a solution you can always set grass distance to zero so you can't the purple spaces, but only if its the grass. You should still make the effort to correct the issue though, because in my experience when one texture isn't behaving right after installation there are always more. I wish you the best of luck sorting out your problem, The only other thing I can think of that caused it besides a random bug or bad installation is a mod that requires a certain version of oblivion. Lazilot
I can relate, i had this problem before. It was a compatibility issue with my mods and the Unofficial Oblivion Patch. If this is the problem you can always go to wherever it is you have your Oblivion Folder located (Default:"C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data") And remove your mods manually. If you don't know how to, check the readme's for each mod. Some come with automatic uninstall apps, other's have to be manually removed. Hope this helps
