HoratioCaius
Hey. Got a wonderful helmet shaped like the Imperial one in Oblivion for Skyrim. But when I decided that I wanted the helmet to reflect light from the enviorment. I figured that I needed to seperate the horsemane, with the helmet. But now I can't make it work in creation kit. It dissappears. And I know it is something I have overlooked in nifscope. Any help would be much appreciated. It is part of a reshape of Solitude, to a more Imperial looking "roman styled" city. If you solve this, I will give you full credit for it when I publish. MotoSxorpio
You don't actually need the plume separated. For environment map, add flags to shader type and shader flag; you need diffuse, normal cubemap and specular map. The specular map should only be grey-scaled and should only cover the metal bit of the helmet...with nothing but black for the plume. The environment map will be laid over the spec map white areas, but not over black. So total separation of plume and helmet seems overkill. :D
