OMGWTFi
Fallout 3 requires the custom d3d9.dll (and some .ini tweaks) to work on Win7, but this seems to render using SweetFX impossible. The problem is - SweetFX requires its own custom d3d9.dll. I know there is a setting on EN, that would allow using two d3d9's, but SweetFX doesn't seem to. Is there a way to do it on SweetFX and Win7 Fix?
BlackRampage
Fallout 3 requires the custom d3d9.dll (and some .ini tweaks) to work on Win7 Not for me it doesn't. Edit: The more likely cause for needing a custom d3d9.dll is because you probably have some integrated graphics chip (Intel most likely) instead of a standalone, dedicated graphics card. OMGWTFi
The WIn7 problem is not only mine, quite usual really. No idea what causes it, there's lots of material on it on the interwebs. YOu are right though, I am using Intel, non-dedicated.I did discover there is an alternate SweetFX wrapper that has a setting similar to ENB, to use several d3d9.dll's, though. M48A5
The reason you had to use the non-standard d3d9.dll is because your graphics processor is not approved to run the game. The d3d9.dll you installed was to force the game to use the onboard GPU. It really doesn't have the proper components to run the game correctly. Since you have to use a work-around to get the game to run using the Intel graphics chip, do you really think it is a good idea to further overload it with more graphics?
