Fatalmasterpiece
Alright, feel like a noob here but for the life of me I can't figure this out. I tried replacing the leather armor model with a different model, since I'm not a big fan of it, as well as the respective texture for said new model. I put all the files where they should go and renamed the files so the game should think it is an override for the original file. Then, no matter what I try to do, I get the chameleon texture error, where the armor takes the texture of whatever ground I am standing on. I should point out that this new armor mesh isn't a modified version of the leather armor. It's a completely different armor mesh and texture, ones that I know work from another mod. I have activated archive invalidation using FOMM, and failing that I tried using the program version available for download. Nothing has worked. What am I missing here? :wallbash:
Fatalmasterpiece
I also had this problem when trying to replace the leather armor with the hires mod version... Best guess is there is some kind of issue the game has with assigning certain textures to certain nifs without correction...
proconsu1
You really should have created this thread in the modding forum. You might wanna ask to have it moved over there where some modders would be more likely to see it and perhaps give you the answers you need. Fatalmasterpiece
Looks like the answer is here http://www.fallout3nexus.com/articles/article.php?id=63 Have to associate the new nif file in the Geck with the correct textures. Reading is fun! :teehee:
