I've actually tried to do it myself, but I have failed. (I am aware that there is a mod out there that changes Veronica's default weapon to a Recharger Pistol, but imo the DPS is too high on that, leading to Veronica not being able to use as many other weapons) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

madmongo Posted July 31, 2015 Share Posted July 31, 2015 If you change Veronica's default combat style from melee to ranged (via the companion wheel or NPC dialog) she'll say something cute like does punching people with my fist count as ranged, but she will switch to the laser pistol instead of the fist. Danny159 Posted July 31, 2015 Share Posted July 31, 2015 Well it make sense Veronica to not have a laser pistol, as she clearly states "I can't afford anything like that" (referring to energry weapons) when you tell her (with the intelligence 6 option speech check) about how the Brotherhood is interested in energy weapons when you fist talk to her. ^^ It's to make people believe she has nothing of value to any would be bandits and the likes. XD I was also under the impression that Veronica isn't entirely honest with the player at that point :wink: I mean, she also pretends to not know much about the BOS. Joke aside, the ACTUAL statement by the player is, "They're usually harmless unless you use advanced technology around them." My emphasis. That's a copy-and-paste directly from the .esm. There's no mention of energy weapons specifically. And she says she can't afford that, although she has a power fist. So yeah, she's lying her rear off.
