roboroller
Any time I put away my pip-boy I get the "you are overencumbered and cannot run" message no matter what. It's rather annoying. I'm using the pip-boy readius and darnified UI, but have always used these and have not run into any problems in past playthroughs, just all of a sudden. Not sure why it's happening. Is there a way to fix this or even disable it completely (I really don't need that message)? Any help would be appreciated.
proconsu1
Does it just give the message but then let you move and fast travel like normal? And could you post your load order?

Yeah, I can move as normal. I'm using FWE so fast travel is disabled (save for the motorcycle), I actually got the problem fixed though (more or less) I was running FWE with the harshest carry weight setting and the Better Backpacks mod. Once I purchased a backpack and put it on though, the message dissapeared. I think it must have had something to do with that, I don't know. Either way, I'm not too worried about it. proconsu1
Sounds like a script that is recalcing your encumbrance every time you leave the pip-boy, but it needs a coupla secs to do it.
nisen
hey, this is a known issue discussed in the readius thread at various places, I just posted about it yesterdayhttp://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/195491-pipboy-readius-endorsements/page__view__findpost__p__2825389

The problem started back up again too, as soon as I started throwing some extra stuff in my bag. It seems like If I get over about half of max carry-weight it starts doing it. It's funny, as I was using the readius on a previous game that I had to quit about 1/3 of the way through and I wasn't having these problems then. Hell if I know. Hell if I know. yea, the readius is infathomable sometimes. appears that you dont get half the tiny glitches showing up when its 'prepared' to uninstall when you access the menu from B. Another pisser on my current install is it never shows up in 3rd person animation, but when prepared to uninstall itll allways be equiped, so theres no weight changeover, and you allways see it when seeing your hand, (and theres some nice looking skins for it so a bonus) but "fully funtional" itll allways unequip itself not in use. So you might wanto 'prepare' it to uninstall, think the only issues with the pipboy light, but forget how it goes, i use a controller so two sets of issues Edited March 8, 2011 by nisen

That thing is WAY too bright. I run my game with Realistic Lighted Interiors and turning it on totally ruins the immersion. There's that flashlight mod that's up on the nexus, but that thing doesn't really work very well. Is there a way to easily reduce the area of light in the GECK or FO3edit? I'm going to start a thread about this as well I think.
nisen
ive heard of what your trying to do and sure the answers yes, but dont recall what it is, might be mentioned in the readius thread or not, and think of the top its an ini setting you change. Theres two settings at the end of the ini list you should play with, and start a new thread with the specific qn
