There was a 17 and Under category, which actually came second in the polls for age.

But why hide your gender in a poll that isnt` going to show who you are? that makes no sense or is just paranoia. I think the sexes poll is probably quite accurate relatively.

Oh, 49 here by the way. I thought there were more of us, though it`s interesting how some were too busy to vote.

Just the reality. males are far more into games than females, despite what the feminists say. And it isn`t because of bullying or anything like that. That`s just the way it is- Nothing wrong with that.

Well, considering majority of most popular titles featuring brutal males with weapons (guns or swords) killing as a main goal (like in 90% of video games) making dumb sexist jokes on the go, or female character as main protagonist in waaaay too skimpy looks attracting young horny males...

Funny you Just described the Witcher 3, which is one of my favorite games of all time lol!

Seems I am in the minority though

I have no problem with skimpy clad women, I like cool looking clothes for both genders. If its skimpy or fully covering is irrelevant to me. Is the design good? Does it fit the color? Does the fabric look realistic? These are the things I care about when it comes to character costume design. I am more offended by the epidemic of ugly armor/clothes in gaming. Vanilla Skyrim armors, and many of those fugly clown armors in the Witcher 3 come to mind DX

I am very open minded, I don't limit my fondness of things built on any stereotype. I like rugged, gritty, bloody aspects. I like sexy looking characters and some tasteful innuendos and jokes in my games. But heck I love cute animals, big pink bows and sunshine with rainbows too!

"So what's the next step? Well, we are looking at taking on a part-time User Experience / User Interface Designer to work with us on interpreting the information we gathered from the surveys, hopefully we can find a passionate person from within the Nexus community, but I will put out a separate post on this very shortly. "

Oh Crap! Steam like crappy tablet finger interface with big pictures/links coming our way. :-(

There was a post on the Steam discussion forum quite a while ago regarding the age of Skyrim players. The youngest player claimed to be 7 and there were few others in the 11 -13 year bracket, however the majority of the users that responded to the discussion were in the age bracket 30 and upwards. There was one gent who admitted to being 72 and quite a few female users in the 40's to 67 bracket, including me.

While quite a few Steam users will visit the Nexus for mods they seem to be more active in the Steam discussion forum. I also like the fact that when you place the cursor on the Steam post's title you get more information without having to open the post, saving you time if you cannot add anything constructive.

I found the Nexus forum sites confusing at first and avoided them for some time, I particularly hate all that graffiti stuck under a post, it's so distracting but I know others love it. The best part of Nexus (beside the mods of course) is the prevention of other users being harassed in any way and also the open findings shown when users get banned.
