HellsMaster
Hullo I need help and advice for buying RAM There is this on amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-Memory-240-pin-PC3-10600-registered/dp/B0037AMY4K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1299863725&sr=8-1 Now its 16gb for 30quid which is nice for my pockets. Do you recommand it? its 1333mhz RAM. Cheers
Illiad86
That's server RAM (ECC), wouldn't work in your system. Plus, that's WAY too cheap for 16GB. 30 quid is around what, 60USD? That would get you 4GB of DDR3. The reviews say it's not what is listed as well. Kingston is a good brand though...I'd get something with heat spreaders on it though. Too bad you live in the UK...you guys seem to pay so much more for computer components. A friend I had over there would go on dabs.com I think it was for his parts. Illiad86
Yep Non-ECC is what you want  Corsair is a good brand as well :) Not a bad price too. I'm a fan of Gskill myself...good quality RAM, never got a bad stick from them. This is the kind I have: http://www.amazon.co.uk/G-Skill-Ripjaws-F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL-PC3-12800-unbuffered/dp/B002V2R8VY/ref=sr_1_18?ie=UTF8&qid=1299866586&sr=1-18 Overclocked it a tiny bit, probably could go a little more...but meh, it's already blistering fast :P

Illiad86
hehe yeah. If you have a non Black Edition AMD processor, the RAM goes up with the overclock of the processor. I think it's the same for Intel, but I'm unsure. I haven't used an Intel processor since the Pentium 4 :P Very nice motherboard there, I like ASUS boards. We're a Gigabyte family though haha :D
urbex
When you're gaming, timings don't matter. Once it's loaded it's loaded and you're good.
