BlackBaron2 Posted March 13, 2011 Share Posted March 13, 2011 OK, I'm having some sort of weird buggage--any files uploaded in my previous name will show that instead of my actual username. Could an admin please fix it for me? http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34719 is an example--I updated it, and it's showing in my old name, which is probably not meant to happen. Dark0ne Posted March 13, 2011 Share Posted March 13, 2011 When you post your file the username is stored with it as it's assumed that username is not going to change. It saves a database query and is ergo good for the performance of the sites. It's yet another good reason why we don't normally do username changes. buddah Posted March 13, 2011 Share Posted March 13, 2011 yes with the same id number, it auto updates to the current username. Only done it a couple of times as we seldom do name changes.
