Fallout 4 GECK Requested Functions

This isn't a spoil for the game, so much as for modding the game. Here are my top requests for things that I would like the Fallout 4 GECK to have. What do you think the new GECK should also come out with to make modding in Fallout 4 easier.

 

1) For the love of god... add a paint function for creating navmeshing since auto-gen is wonky and doing it by hand is tediooooooooooooooous.

2) Script checker for compiling scripts, so that you can be told where you messed up rather than struggling to figure it out on your own.

3) The same LOD gen abilities as Skyrim and Oblivion so that gening an LOD takes hours and not days.

4) A better face creator for NPCs.

I hope they make the new GECK alot more stable then the last one was. Heh.

 

The option to pack all the assets the active plugin is using into a .BSA would be nice to. The skyrim creation kit does this, but as no fallout GECK has it, it makes mod packing a lil more...tedious.

 

An Error Log for the GECK would be useful to. If something in your mod crashes the geck, the log will tell you exactly which item is causing the issues, and not just leave you frustrated and guessing.

 

Resizable windows. My god. These are needed badly! Want to do a new Quest? Its hard to see all the info at once since those popups cannot be resized.

 

Columns. The Fallout NV GECK had this issue, where the columns in some popups were shoved all the way to one side, and it looked like there was nothing there.

Fallout 4 will be using the next generation of the Creation engine that was used in Skyrim, not the Gamebryo engine that was used in FO3 and FNV.

So the next GECK will be similar to the Creation Kit from Skyrim, hopefully with the improvements you mentioned.

That would be nice :D

 

That might mean that Fallout 4 will get more attention then skyrim did. And that means HUGE New lands mods, new weapons like Immersive and Jaysus Weapons, and new Armors mods :D

 

It will be a surely wonderful time for fallout fans.
