Denisowator
I recently installed a mod called "Sword of the Ancient Tongues", link below. And I really want an armor and a shield that fits with it, but no matter how hard I try I just can't figure out a good design. How do you guys do it? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52700/? "I just can't figure out a good design" is the clue. I want to model them. Edited August 19, 2015 by Denisowator

Derok
Honestly, I prefer research on real, historical weapons and armors, then add your personal twist and your creativity to it. Real life has everything you need. To base on other fantasy concepts instead is making modern fantasy often bland and uninspired. You want an heavy armor that looks awesome and not clunky and unrealistic at the same time?http://images.metmuseum.org/CRDImages/aa/web-large/DT205963.jpgYou want a crude orcish looking weapon that doesn't look ridicolous and oversized?http://imakeswords.com/images/godenak/godenakbrownleather1a.jpgLotr is a great example of taking historical concepts and making them unique and badass, but Dark Souls is also a style I love, at it manages to keep the medieval feel but with its own style.http://darksouls.wdfiles.com/local--files/armor/elite-knight-set-large.jpg Edited August 19, 2015 by Derok
