raatorotta
5 year old parts of my computer need to go. I decided to get new parts. Most because Gta IV won't work on this. Also would love better graphics on other games. Yes, like Fallout NV works fine on this, just on low details.Im on low budjet and here is list what i have already ordered: AMD Athlon II X2 250 Proccessor Asrock M3A UCC motherboard Club 3D Radeon HD4350 PCI graphic card (would have liked nvidia more, but coulnd't find any with normal PCI connector that fits better on motherboard) Corsair Value Select 2Gt 1333;Hz DDR3 DIMM RAM memory (One 2Gt for now, buying more later)andChieftec CTG-400 400W 80+ 12cm ATX powersupply (Im wondering if 400w is enough for all components) Edit: 400W is enough i have used power calculator and find out even 350W is ok. I'm gonna use old dvd-drive and hard drives. By the way i have never installed proccessor myself and i don't know anything about it, is it easy?Edit: I watched video about installing proccessor, shouldn't be a problem as i ordered box that has all on it for installation. Any comments and advices? Edited April 5, 2011 by raatorotta
urbex
You can use a Nvidia card with that mobo, it has a PCI x16 slot. You should try to at least get a HD 5770 though.Really, you'll be more happy gaming on a console than a $300 computer.

Thanks for post.Hmm, maybe i buy better graphic card whenever i get more money, using more than 100e on card is not what i can go at the moment. But the problem is that i already ordered the stuff. Well, soon i have pile of old graphic cards if i keep upgrading it all the time ;D
Illiad86
Erk...you'll barely be able to play anything with the graphics card you purchased :( Those are more meant for a HTPC. Ah well, you could build one of those eventually ;)
Thandal
 Have to agree with the others who point out that your video adapter is the leakest link in your component chain. There are nVidia cards (some pretty inexpenseive now) that'll work for you, although I don't think you'll want to pay what it would take to get one that's DX11-capable. The GT2xx-series is almost two years old now, and only supports DX10.x. I have the single-slot GT240 and have been very happy with it. It's available here, for example: "snogard.de", at under 70e. raatorotta
Yeah, someone else recommended gt240 also for me. When ever skyrim comes out, i buy new graphix card. Anyway got the parts and installed all allright. The only problem is voice. My old soundcard have started to make weird noise on games. It was fine with old components. Now it keeps going with random rattle noise. I have no idea why it sounds like that.
_frost_
Hmm just keep in mind - the GT 240 has only ~50% performance of a HD 5770.I think it's a bad choice if you want to save 30€.(cheapest offer) _frost_ Edited April 7, 2011 by _frost_
Thandal
Oh, I agree that if you can afford a more recent (DX11-capable) card, and it will fit in your case and doesn't overtax your p/s, (which are the limitations I have to be concerned about) then go for it! But the GT240 is an excellent single-slot, low-power, DX10.1 card, available pretty inexpensively now.
raatorotta
I need a card that is suitable for Windows Xp 32bit. I'm not buying new windows, it's too expencive. Also this sound problem i have is very annoying, i can't play anything, the sound keeps rattling. In windows, sound is fine, but in games its broken. I have tried install new driver and update directx sound, but no results. Can anyone help with this or have to i buy new soundcard too? edit: by the way what do you say about this graphic card: Palit GeForce GTX550TI PCIE 1Gt Edited April 8, 2011 by raatorotta
Illiad86
Yeah, I would get a new soundcard. SOME onboard sound is decent, I've used Realtek and SigmaTel. Realtek is pretty good...but if you have SigmaTel, I'm so so sorry lol. I had that on my old laptop that was more than capable of playing the original Half Life...but because of the horrible onboard sound, anytime ANYTHING made a noise, it would cut out, rattle, and lag the game down to 2FPS :verymad: It's bad in games because there are multiple channels of sound going through (sound for footsteps, another for gunshots, etc.) and if the soundcard is crap, it can't process it fast enough and causes lag and the like.
