Tacocubes
Hi I just need some help figuring out my load order and possibly other things like missing patches, things with wrye bash or tes5edit or whatever. I had LOOT help me sort my plugins, identify mods that needed cleaning and other things. I have no problems with slow scripts and my game runs fairly decent on low settings. My mod list is fairly large, so I think that in itself causes some stability issues. My game still silently crashes every so often in random places where you wouldn't think it would crash. Inside a small, cozy building. During a relaxed conversation with an npc. And seemingly right as i press the esc. button to save my game, which is a bit annoying. Here's my load order: I'm too lazy to type in the actual names of the mods, so sorry if you're having trouble identifying some of them. Honestly, I'll be surprised if there isn't something wrong with this I know I'll need to rebuild the bashed patch after changing this load order 0 0 Skyrim.esm 1 1 Update.esm 2 2 Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp 3 3 Dawnguard.esm 4 4 Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp 5 5 HearthFires.esm 6 6 Unofficial Hearthfire Patch.esp 7 7 Dragonborn.esm 8 8 Unofficial Dragonborn Patch.esp 9 9 ClimatesOfTamriel.esm10 a Lanterns Of Skyrim - All In One - Main.esm11 b ApachiiHair.esm12 c ETaC - RESOURCES.esm13 d loud waterfalls.esp14 e SkyUI.esp15 f Wintermyst - Enchantments of Skyrim.esp16 10 RaceMenu.esp17 11 RaceMenuPlugin.esp18 12 ETaC - Complete.esp19 13 CollegeOfWinterholdImmersive.esp20 14 ETaC - Dragon Bridge South.esp21 15 Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul.esp22 16 Skyrim Immersive Creatures.esp23 17 Rebirth Monster.esp24 18 Immersive Orc Strongholds.esp25 19 SoS - The Wilds.esp26 1a SoS - Civilization.esp27 1b SoS - Civilization-PatchCoT.esp28 1c OBIS.esp29 1d localizedguildjobs.esp30 1e Skyrim Immersive Creatures - DLC2.esp31 1f SoS - The Dungeons.esp32 20 OBISDB.esp33 21 towConversation.esp34 22 TheEyesOfBeauty.esp35 23 NirShor-MusicalLore.esp36 24 Serana.esp37 25 InvisibleGloves.esp38 26 MoreSmithing.esp39 27 Rebirth Monster - SIC Patch.esp40 28 ETaC - Complete LoS Patch.esp41 29 Immersive Whiterun.esp42 2a icebreaker's dragon bite removal.esp43 2b Immersive Weapons.esp44 2c Unique Uniques.esp45 2d Immersive Solstheim.esp46 2e Immersive Sounds - Compendium.esp47 2f IceBreaker's Improved Reverb v0.025.esp48 30 FCO - Follower Commentary Overhaul.esp49 31 BetterQuestObjectives.esp50 32 Destroy the Thieves Guild.esp51 33 Hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.esp52 34 Extended UI.esp53 35 exploreskyrim.esp54 36 Hothtrooper44_Armor_Ecksstra.esp55 37 Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim.esp56 38 DYNAVISION Dynamic Depth of Field.esp57 39 AHZmoreHUD.esp58 3a AMatterOfTime.esp59 3b ClimatesOfTamriel-Dungeons-Hazardous.esp60 3c ClimatesOfTamriel-Interiors-Warm.esp61 3d ClimatesOfTamriel-Nights-Level-6.esp62 3e BFT Ships and Carriages.esp63 3f Cloaks.esp64 40 Skyrim Shadow Striping Fix.esp65 41 magerobesthen8mare.esp66 42 JaxonzUtilities.esp67 43 CWIDawnDragonPatch.esp68 44 CWINPCImprovements.esp69 45 DeadlyDragons.esp70 46 ClimatesOfTamriel-Dawnguard-Patch.esp71 47 SoS - The Wilds-PatchCoT.esp72 48 ClimatesOfTamriel-Dragonborn-Patch.esp73 49 Bijin Wives.esp74 4a Crafting potion duration affected by alchemy.esp75 4b Chesko_LoreBasedLoadingScreens.esp76 4c ETaC - Complete BFT Patch.esp77 4d ETaC - Whiterun Ext LoS Patch.esp78 4e Apocalypse - The Spell Package (Workshop).esp79 4f dD-No Spinning Death Animation Merged.esp80 50 Apocalypse (Workshop) - Ordinator Compatibility Patch.esp81 51 Serana No Hood.esp82 52 Alternate Start - Live Another Life.esp83 53 BetterQuestObjectives-AlternateStartPatch.esp84 54 Bashed Patch, 0.esp Edited September 13, 2015 by Tacocubes
Tacocubes
Edit: Sorry! I posted the exact load order as the post above! This is the actual new load order that I have. (The serana no hood was deactivated prior to rebuilding the bashed patch. That's why it's indented like that) Update: After further study of Wrye Bash, I was able to come to some conclusions and edit my load order accordingly. I'm still unsure of where exactly I should have placed these mods. But at least all my active mods show up as green checkmarks in wrye bash as they actually did not all have green checks before. newzilla7
Couple of things that might help. - Do you have the memory patch SKSE ini installed? It forces SKSE to requisition more memory initally. It also uncaps Skyrim to 4 GB maximum, if you have the RAM for it. Both of those maximize stability. - Do you have any major ini edits like changing uGridsToLoad? Some edits, while not necessarily horrible, can destabilize the game. - Did you resort in Wrye Bash to fix the orange checkmarks? If you did, I would recommend sorting with LOOT again and then testing the mods to make sure they work correctly WITHOUT resorting in Wrye Bash. Especially with the ETaC patches, the load order it wants is actually bad, and Wrye Bash can't tell the difference. If you have no issues, use LOOT's load order and use "sort masters" in TES5Edit to fix the checkmarks. - Are you running Skyrim with ENBoost and the fullscreen borderless mode for ENB? While more of a graphics hack, this can increase stability tremendously. You'll need to install ENBoost correctly and then set these lines in enblocal.ini: ForceBorderless=true ForceBorderlessFullscreen=true Hope that helps! I have 230+ mods running at 40-50 FPS right now with few CTDs, so if you have any other questions for me feel free to PM.

I have 230+ mods running at 40-50 FPS right now with few CTDs, so if you have any other questions for me feel free to PM. I did not initially have the SKSE.ini enabled in my SKSE folder. But I was able to easily find out how to enable it, so now I have the ini folder! Thanks for mentioning that. I did not know about it and should help me tremendously! In my Skyrim.ini (NOT Skyrimprefs.ini) I have the following changes: [Papyrus]fUpdateBudgetMS=800fExtraTaskletBudgetMS=800fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=2000bEnableLogging=0bEnableTrace=0bLoadDebugInformation=0iMinMemoryPageSize=256iMaxMemoryPageSize=512iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=2457600[Display]iLocation X=40iLocation Y=-20(This is so the game window is centered perfectly on my screen and not on the top left corner when playing in windowed mode.) And at the end of Display section I have these changes:fDefaultWorldFOV=80fDefault1stPersonFOV=80.0000 AND in the Skyrimprefs.ini I have this change under General settings:fdefaultfov=80(I made these changes to permanantly change the field of view in my game to something more realistic without having to change it manually via the console all the time. The default fov is far too narrow and almost makes me naseous.) I hope these changes are okay. I'll see what I can do about fixing the orange checkmarks. I'm just unsure how everything will play out. I feel uncomfortable making all these changes. As for ENBoost, I decided to download that as well but I am very unsure as what to do with VideomemorysizeMb settings in the ini file. The STEP wiki guide (Which really isn't easy for me to follow) gives me a formula to set it. Since I have only 4GB ram on my LAPTOP, I very carefully followed the formula Dedicated video memory plus system RAM - 2048. Except I got a negative value.... I have 128 + 4 - 2048. That can't possibly be right. How do I set VideoMemorysizeMb?
Tacocubes
PS. I hate how I have to go look for guides and hear things from other people that I didn't know about to figure out how the hell to do all this crap...
Tacocubes
I followed all your advice. My game seems much more stable so far. I played for a couple hours and not a single crash. That's very encouraging.

newzilla7
If you're running much more stably, I wouldn't worry about those ini edits. The Papyrus changes may or may not cause some problems. You can decide yourself if it's worth looking it up. For ENBoost, what it means is (and I know this is very unclear) system memory in MB, so it comes out to 128 + 4096 - 2048 = 2176. In almost every case LOOT will end up with not just a working load order but the best order. If you end up with major glitches, trust Wrye Bash. Otherwise, going witH LOOT should be best. Tacocubes
After more playing, I still get random crashes actually. My game immediately crashed once upon loading last save, and crashed randomly somewhere in the ratway tunnels. Vanilla Skyrim for sure would not crash in those places. I think I'm going to trust Wrye Bash on this one.
