ninja_lord666
For those who don't get it, rob_b complained about how I was unfairly picking on him and carrying on some kind of vendetta because I disagreed with something he posted. So to make him feel better and highlight the sillyness of his persecution complex, I found his last five or so posts and disagreed with them as well. I have no real comment on how Dark0ne is running the site, I don't even look at the site outside of the forums. Oh, sorry about that. It's kind of hard to tell if written words are sarcasm or not. Surrounding text does help sometimes, but not always.
ResidentWeevil2077
And watch Peregrine's sarcasm, don't take everything he says too seriously. I'm glad someone around here has a little common sense.... I have no real comment on how Dark0ne is running the site, I don't even look at the site outside of the forums. Now that's just plain insulting and hurtful. I don't want people to have sympathy for me, and if they share your opinion of me, fine, I don't care.
Mithrandir8
rob_b, just calm down. Peregrine will continue to fight you as long as you fight him. Anyway, if there was some sort of three post requirement before mods could be downloaded, all the forums would be filled with junk posts and finding content worth reading would be hard. The moderators would be driven insane by all the posts that they would have to delete and the entire system could collapse. Leaving the current members who haven't posted stay as members doesn't hurt anyone, and as long as they don't do anything stupid they should be allowed to stay. For my first couple months I didn't post because I didn't know about the forums, which is probably where a lot of other members are.

I believe I had pointed that out Having a 3 post requirement would probably prove this, and drive the staff insane with having to moderate all the garbage posts. Maybe making a system where people who signed up, but have less than 5 posts get deleted after a month would clean things up instead. It may still cause some spam, but the answer is simple, if they spam 3 of those 5 posts, they get banned. Then maybe deleting members who are inactive for longer than 6 months, but have fewer than 100 posts might thin out the membership a little more. I believe that they should be punished in order to deter their spamming, but not just to outright ban them. And I'd support deleting member accounts that haven't been active within the past 6 mos, but I'd change that post count to maybe at least 60 posts. You gotta be somewhat lenient. Perhaps Dark0ne likes to show off how many members the community has :P , when in reality less than half actually partake in the forums. But don't take this the wrong way, I don't want you to think I'm bashing you or anything  . God forbid or you'd have my head on a silver platter  ! I suppose so...335151-319574 is less than half, calculator: 0.05% have made at least one post...that is less than half :P lol.
Dark0ne
As has already been mentioned most people register to download files, and only download files. They have no intention of using these forums and I'm not going to force them. This is a moot point.

If that's the case, then why don't you make it so one can download files without having to join so as to prevent hundreds of thousands of people from joining to only download those files? They have no intention of using these forums and I'm not going to force them. This is a moot point. That is quite right. At first, I only registered because there was a file that had been too large to d/l without having to join at all. Next thing you know, I screwed up the courage to log on to the forums, and I find myself looking over topics here that just so happen to catch my eye. Later, I decided to start posting my own thoughts. I felt out of place at first, but now I kinda got the hang of things. I think that's probably why most people don't bother to become active in the forums, simply because they'd feel out of place. It's kinda like walking into a bar or pub by yourself for the first time, not knowing what kind of poison to ask the barkeep to get for you, let alone even trying to start any kind of civilized conversation with complete strangers. But I digress. I agree it would be complete tyranny if anyone made those members that don't intend on posting here on message boards to start posting or their accounts will be deleted at the end of the month. What would people think of the webmaster  ?

Might be possible to use a reverse Turing test, or do something with variable file paths (requiring that the downloader go through the mod's page), or some such. But at a guess, this would be more trouble than it's worth.
