ok so i'm a tad curious, has anyone here EVER gotten all the hair mods to co-exist propperly? (cazy, mikoto's, lings, Mohave Deilight) or at least gotten 3 of the 4?

is it even possible? cause i've been told by a friend it's not but i just wanna check with you guys.

i personally have never even gotten Cazy and either lings or mik's to work together other than with the willow mod. (no idea why only with willow though)

like i've really never used Mov Del, but would like to. issue is... i pretty much HAVE to use Book of Earache (i find the game VERY boring without it)

and book of earache Kinda needs lings (i hAVE gotten it to work with Mik's though through a little tinkering) i mean could i live without BoE? yes. but i'd hate it and prolly would end up installing it anyway

so if anyone knows how to get all if not most of the hair mods to coexist and show propperly PLEASE tell me how you did it! lol i'd be forever grateful and would love you forever lol

i've tried to use FNVEdit but with no success. haven't tried the geck yet cause idk really how i would go about it there >.<

thanks!!!

Generally speaking, whenever two mods modify the same thing, one ends up overwriting the other one. Since hair mods usually modify the hair list for a particular race (or several races), they don't co-exist very well at all together. One mod changes the race to have its hair list, then another mod comes along and changes the race to have a different hair list. The last one to overwrite the others wins.

When you have conflicting hair mods like this, the way that you make them co-exist is that you combine all of the assets into a single mod, then modify your desired races to use the entire list of hair assets.

If two different hair mods happen to use the same name for a hair asset, then you'll have to change one of them.

If you want to make your own merged mod, the easiest way to do it is to load all of the desired mods, then go into each hair and change something, then change it back (basically, you want to force it as being changed so that it gets copied into your mod). Once you have all of the hairs that you want, save your mod and exit the GECK. This is important because if you copy the hairs onto the race with all of the other mods still loaded things can go really wonky. Then re-open your mod in the GECK, which now should have only your copied hairs. Now just add all of those hairs to your race, and your mod is done.

You may need to remove the other hair esm files from your mod before reloading it the second time.
