PapaCristobal
Some of the textures seem to become transparent in certain places. The places that I've found so far is the arena, the top of the tower in the kvatch oblivion gate and one time recently in the "open world".I am new to modding, I've been googling some but I can't seem to find an answer to this issue. It seems to be something different from the ENB transparent hands bug. Here's what it looks like http://imgur.com/a/Q8qfEhttp://imgur.com/a/wKo0J Here's my mod list http://imgur.com/DMvSxR7I also have A Tweaked ENB, OBSE, Blockhead, MenuQue and Oblivion Stutter Remover manually installed. Here is my loading order: http://imgur.com/QIPYpeiI use LOOT which is part of Mod Organizer. I also use TES4LODGen. So, what to do? Thank you! EDIT: The bug doesn't seem to be consistent in the open world. I just visited the same place with the same save and the game looked normal. It's definitely consistent on the other two places though. **** PROBLEM SOLVED **** It was A Tweaked ENB causing the issue, I uninstalled it and now everything works just fine. Oubliette
You're not getting any results on your search because you're looking for the wrong thing. Textures pretty much have three possible states in game: missing entirely (matt flat purple textures are a symptom of this) misaligned (when you use a texture replacer for a mesh that uses a different map the texture will seem oddly stretched or squished) or visible. What you've got there is a mesh problem and from the sounds of it it's probably hardware related not mod related. If it was mod related it would be consistent and represented by the famed yellow exclamation mark. But you can try a "quick" test to see if it's mod related by disabling all of them temporarily, creating a clean save and running around in the world to see if you notice the problem still happening. If you do, definitely your hardware if you don't, then it's a mod and you can proceed with the process of elimination to find it. It was A Tweaked ENB. I uninstalled the mod and now everything seems to be fine. It seems to be different from the known transparent hands glitch though. And I'm not really familiar with what meshes exactly are, thought it was a problem with textures but I guess not :)
shinobi2008
If you are still interested in how meshes and textures work, here's a texture guide from the community: http://www.darkcreations.org/testg/wiki/Main_Page. It should give you an idea how each file work and interact with each other. For troubleshooting tools I would recommend Refscope from Nexus: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/21862/? superpowermindo
The transparency is caused by Ambient Occlusion. I believe it has something to do with the incompatibility between the latest graphics card drivers and the outdated ENB binaries. You could simply disable that and keep using the ENB. Another possible fix would be to disable AO entirely from the driver control panel. That's how I fixed it, and still kept using the AO from Oblivion Reloaded in conjunction with the Cinematic ENB I've been using.
