firepower02
It is strange there is a dollar sign before the menus. What could have caused this? Is it caused by nif file or in the esp file?
firepower02
Not just the menus, in other places too.I tried disabling all mods, but it's still there.
KunoMochi
Have you tried verifying your game files through Steam?
firepower02
What exactly do you mean? I was using CK as usual prior, then that happened. I must have done something in the CK that adds the $. As I've said, disabling all mods, it's still there.
Deleted31005User
Firepower, you have deleted a file from your game, my guess is that you tried to uninstall a mod manually but you accidentally deleted something that your game needs as well. Under Data/Interface there is a file called "Translate_ENGLISH.txt", when I delete that file I also get those $ signs in front of everything.(I recently made that mistake myself as well.) firepower02
I did, maybe I was trying to free up space, and thought this file is not needed. I don't even have the folder anymore.I sent you a pm. Edited October 12, 2015 by firepower02
Rabbit1251
All operating systems - Verify integrity of game cache.1.Load Steam2.From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.3.Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache button.4.Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.5.Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit. KunoMochi
Follow Rabbit 51's instructions. Verifying your game's cache through Steam should prompt it to re-download any files that you may be missing for the game.
NeoNord
Rabbits instructions are very good and succinct. In addition , when you do that it is a good idea to go to LOOT (formerly BOSS) and run LOOT . It may identify files you need to run through Tess5 cleaning. (usually with bright yellow warning messages)
firepower02
Thank you so much, it worked perfectly! I don't see $ signs anymore. The problem was the file Data/Interface/Translate_ENGLISH.txt
