ByakkoTigerGod
First off, hello all, and thank you for taking the time to read this. Now, to cut to the chase: I'm wondering if it's possible to make a mod that removes blood when you enter water. Actually, I'm pretty sure it's possible, just appealing to the willing here. I've even got a theory that might help; The misc. quest from Dragonborn called "Experimental Subject" has one (out of two) version where you allow Neloth to cast an experimental spell on you, and then when you get wet, by either submerging yourself in water or standing in rain, the spell turns into a negative effect. My point being, it may be possible to use the bit of code from that quest that's used to detect water/rain on your character in order to "wash" blood off your character by submersion or being doused in rain. I know, this seems silly, as there's a few easy ways to get rid of the blood (save and reload save, remove armor and put back on, exit and start the game again, etc.), but all of these methods ruin immersion for me, and I know for a few others as well (thanks to a google search looking for this non-existant mod). I just think it would be kinda cool, and unfortunately lack the scripting know-how to do it myself. I would really appreciate anyone even considering it, cause that's how ideas become reality. :geek: Edited October 15, 2015 by ByakkoTigerGod
Fenryr3001
It's actually realistic changing armour sets. You wouldn't want to run around all day wearing the Armour of a Knight, would you?

ByakkoTigerGod
It's actually not realistic for the blood to simply disappear from said armor set, though. If I put it back on, how is it suddenly clean as the day I made it? This is besides the point though, I'm not here to debate whether or not the current methods of removing blood that are available are immersive or not. I'm talking about helping immersion with a mod that has some reference code already available.
Fenryr3001
You are the one requesting being able to wash blood off,so you could just drop the clothes and put them into the River/Pond and put it back on after that. Also,I highly doubt Blood would just go off after swimming a bit.
Garrett0000001
Cool idea. But i never notice blood on myself. Are you using a blood mod?
ByakkoTigerGod
Yeah, but I believe blood being on your character is a part of the game anyway. There are settings for blood in Skyrim not associated with mods. Maybe you have blood effects or something turned off? Or maybe it's just been that long since I've installed the "Enhanced Blood Textures" mod. Either way, I know it's possible to make this mod, so I'll just leave this topic here and maybe give it a shot myself if I can somehow manage it. One more thing before I don't even look at this for another month or so, though: Fenryr, go ahead and try to put your gear in a body of water in Skyrim. You'll wish you hadn't lol. And fresh blood would come off metal or leather fairly easy before it sets in so why not any of the other materials in Skyrim? Again, not here to argue with the ligitimacy of the mod idea, it's more realistic than a lot of other mods out there, just here to post an idea for a modder to ponder, if I don't one day complete it myself
