Freydis
I agree with didguns.....A good mod can change the game and modders for Bethesda's games prove this time and time again. They expand and extend a game's life for years. Presently I have Oblivion and Fallout 3 GOTY installed on my new XPS 8900 Win 10 (never went to Win 7 or 8). Up til then, I played these on my old Inspiron 230 (WinXP) for years. Oblivion runs just fine on Win 10 without a hitch from the beginning. However, I did have a problem with Fallout 3 until I installed the GFWL app (missing file glitch) and the disabler. I have Morrowind and several mods for it as well as Skyrim to install later. Eventually I'll buy Fallout 4 but still having too much fun with #
SubRosaFlorens
A good game is a good game, not matter how old it is, and mods just make them better. I know more people playing Fallout 3 and New Vegas right now than Fallout 4. I am still playing and making mods for FO3 and NV. I mostly make them for myself, to fix or tweak the game how I like them. But I still sometimes put them up here for others. I just put up one last month. I have not even bought FO4 yet. Like Freydis I will eventually get around to it. But I am having too much fun with FO3 and NV. Not to mention Oblivion, Wasteland 2, Pillars of Eternity, and so many other games. I recently even played through Kotor I and II.
Mirocu
Even today, morrowind and oblivion still have some action going on.If you wish to mod, then mod! Who cares if only five people played it?Do it! Don't let your dreams be dreams! This! I know I´m a bit late here but do the mod if you want to and don´t bother with getting hundreds of downloads. That´s just a bonus if it happens :) I still play and mod Fallout 3 and Oblivion and I bet I´m not alone.
SweetDaggerfall
Would People Play a Fallout 3 mod these days ? Yes. If it was well made and fit with my other mods load order and desires behind why i play modded Fallout 3. If it was to add giant Pikachus to the world, then probably not ;)

AraFox
The short answer: heck yeah. Just gimme a reason to fire up Fallout 3. It doesn't even have to be a good reason.
Teabone3
I still make mods for Fallout 3 to this day. Even decided to make one for Fallout 3 to include some of the Fallout 4 enemy ranks: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/21868/? I was working on a MASSIVE new city you could go to, but like you, was concerned about if enough people would play it and be engaged with it. I've since discontinued that project and may bring it back as a Falout 4 Mod. Since it deals with a wordspace that fits well with the Lore and will require a lot of work with its story (actors, music, animations). For smaller FO3 mods, you'll still get quite a number of people playing them. So that is why I still pump out mods. Just no massive world space ones as that is an incredible amount of volunteer work it would take out of time i could be actually working and making money lol
garyhall11223344
well seeing as I have lets see fallout 3, saints row 3, the original x-com series, skyrim, oblivion, assassins creed, and a host of other "old" games on my computer I would like to add there are more than a few folks playing those games modded or otherwise largely because they are fun pure and simple FUN I run one for months at a time then jump to another back and forth its better than cable tv and really isn't that what its all about when you get down to it if you want to mod something or make a mod if its what you yourself want to do DO IT have fun life is too short not to
