Boombro
Yes I know what can happen, and I know it has happened before. But is it common. Really hard to know, there is few hints. But may guess it this: Human + human: very commonElf + Elf= uncommon. Altmer are less likely to bang another elf if they are from summerset because of pure altmer stuff. But since altmer have valenwood, I'm sure this became common with altmer of mixed parents. Dunmer live in the other side of the map, so yeah.Elf + human: common-uncommon.Human-elf + beast: uncommon-rare
TheSpaceShuttleChallenger
There are a handful of mixed couples in Skyrim, like Ennis and Eldith or Rorikstead, as well as mixed-race offspring like Karliah. They're not extremely common, but then again, even regular elf-on-elf marriages aren't that common in Skyrim either, and there doesn't appear to be any dialogue in which NPCs shun these marriages. There are also several historical examples of human royalty marrying elves without any fuss. For example, Kataria I, a dunmer woman, married Pelagius the Mad and ruled as his regent for forty-something years and was actually very popular amongst her human subjects. When the Altmer Dirennis became the rulers of Highrock they married freely with various Breton and Nordic nobility. Plus there are plenty of stories (books, legends, etc) praising love stories between elves and men. So if it's not common it's at least accepted. FiftyTifty
Let's not forget that the majority of Tamriel's races, of Man and Mer, populate the majority of their own country; Nords make up the majority of Skyrim, Dunmer make up the majority of Morrowind, Khajiit make up the majority of Elsweyr, etc. There's just not as big an opportunity fo' mixed couplin' when everybody's stickin' to their own, due ta geographical inconvenience. A good example was oblivion. One can find many nords in Burma, dunmer in Cheydinhal and beast races in Leyawiin. Their numbers overwhelmed the natives.
