Strange Account problems...

Hi there.

It could be the case that I'm simply to dumb to get tessource working because it has been working fine all the time before. Now, since the last update on tessource I cannot download files > 2MB because the system does not recognize me altough I am properly logged in and it even says so:

Clicky!

Now what could I be doing wrong? Any advice?

Many thanks in advance! :-)

And also i got this message when tryin to download files " No filename supplied. There was an error with the download link. Please report this."

I keeps me logged in and out same time, and also it keeps unloggin me too when in files section..

Please help me quickly.. >:(

Hmm... that definitely is a weird problem. I've never had any problems myself (except the occasional dead-link to certain files), but this is the first I've seen of this sort of problem. I'm not an expert or anything (God forbid :P), but lemme take a wild guess and say it probably could be your browser's settings (eg IE7, Firefox, Opera, Safari, etc). Sometimes, that might be the root of your problems.

If Dark0ne comes back and says he was unable to pinpoint exactly what the problem is on the site, then it's most likely a security or connection setting on your web browser. Like I said, I'm no expert at finding the cause of these types of problems, so don't take my advice too seriously ;)

Sorry I have not been in here recently and when I came back to try to log into TES source it will not let me in, it keeps saying that my username or password is incorrect. Well I have since put in a new password and everytime it keeps telling me that my username or password is not valid. But I can log into here without a problem. I just am not able to get into TES source which is where I need to go to grab all my mods back for Oblivion (reformatted my hard drive). I do not know what to do and I am not able to make a new username to just bypass the process.

Similar issues here.. if I open http://www.tessource.net/ in either IE or Firefox, it looks fine. I'm logged in perfectly. I go to the files "index" link at http://www.tessource.net/files/, and it's screaming at me to log in / become a supporter / etc.

The rub is, I am a supporter. Same issue in IE or Firefox. Cookies are wide open, I checked the FAQ.

I'll be adding a new "middle" page between logging in and being actually logged into the site to better provide users with feedback on their problem. i.e. if someone logs in with the right details but the cookie doesn't set because the user has crappy user preferences in their browser/firewall it'll tell them as such.

That would be very cool, I think. But I'm confused. When I open http://www.tessource.net/ by a bookmark, it tells me I'm logged in. Box on the upper right says "Hello tylitalo, you're logged in and have access to all the site's files. " As soon as I click the "Files" link to http://www.tessource.net/files/, I'm blasted with advertisements and a banner asking me to become a supporter, and that same member's area box says

"MEMBER AREA

Register

Manage Your Files

Add A File

Logout"

and I have to click on the "login" link there and give my username/password (even though the cookie has it saved, the member box again has the right info at this page), in order to view my tracked mods and authors.

So, am I logged in or not? -_o Just curious. I have no firewall software running on this box, I opened my hardware firewall up, and I get the same result with IE and Firefox with or without my antivirus running. ;)

Click on "Manage Files". If you're logged in you will be able to see your member area for the site. If you're not logged in it will send you to the login page (which means your computer isn't allowing cookies to be set).
