Uh, i killed a guy and then rested to awake with vampire skills and start of the dark brotherhood quest, fine but the vampire skills completly changed the look of my characters facial features?.

Im trying to find out if its a mod thats effecting this, but in the meantime is there anyway to stop yourself becoming a vampire?

When you become a vampire your facial features always change, it's not a mod doing that. Vampirism is a disease (That's not the actual name of the disease, but I don't know how to spell it!), so can be cured with a cure disease spell/potion/scroll, or by praying at an altar.

So after curing the desease the facial features of my character will revert back to the origional state?

cause when you spend a fair bit of time creating the look of the character, not much fun going through it again

Well the disease is nothing more than a drain fatigue effect on you, until you sleep. When you go to sleep, you'll turn into a vampire. You're supposed to get a cure before you sleep.

But if it's too late you can also do the quest for the cure. After you are cured your face should look the same again.

Take a look at this thread.

Wow i looked at the thread and thats a lot of stuff to do to get cured o_O. Hers the thing, i used a cure desease potion and nothing happend, i went to a church and got blessed where it says your afflictions are banashed or sumthing, so nothing changed, still a vampire......

Do i have to have a specific potion, like the one you make in the cure quest? or any cure desease potion?

As i have drank and been blessed or whateever i guess i just need to sleep and that should clear it?

P.s I want to do the cure desease quest plus become a vampire eventualy, just not now......... :P

No, you had to drink the cure disease potion before you turned into a vampire. You turned into a vampire when you had the something haemophilia disease and slept after three days.

If you do the cure disease quest you can't turn into a vampire again I'm afraid.

Brilliant!, :D thanks for the help i loaded up the save game before i rested, drank a cure desease potion, then rested and hey presto no turning into a vampire, so now i can still become a vampire by catching the desease again, not curing it, eneabaling me to do the cure quest! ;D

Without this info i woulda been a little anoyed o_O thanks mate :)

[spoiler WARNING]

Talk to any one in a *shudders* chapel and they'll direct you to someone who directs you to someone else who tells you a story then directs you to yet another person who sends you on several pointless Fed-ex quests they gives you the potion and directs you back to someone, the one that told you the story, who lets you watch a pointless scene then pays you.

[/END SPOILER]

OR

You could not do that and remain a vampire. You get a bunch of neet powers, skills, resistances, plus everyone screams and runs from you when you reach 100 vampirism :D

BTW I think the disease is something like Porpheric Hemophilia. I'm not sure on the spelling, though.

There is another(quicker) way to cure vampirism, after becomeing a vampire. If you have the Vile Layer DLC you can just use the purge salts and no more vampirism. But I dont know if cureing it that way will let you become a vampire again.

That's not the only way to be a vampire in the game. Sometimes when you sleep a vampire will bite you in your sleep and you will have to do the cure vampire disease quest to not become a vampire. That's the only way I became a vampire so far. Each time I never even saw a vampire before becoming a vampire myself so watch out :excl:
