"Mod cannot be added"

Hi guys! I seem to be having an incredibly bizarre problem and I can't for the life of me figure out a solution.

Seemingly at random, certain mods I'm installing simply wont be added to my plugin list. At first this was an issue with a particular mod from loverslab I was trying to download. I transferred everything normally, FNIS recognized the mod was in the right place, and yet no matter what I did it would not show up in my plugin list. I tried using the "add mod from file" option, but even after I add the particular esm, it still wont show up. I simply receive an error in the download manager telling me that the mod "Cannot be added".

Now, at first I thought this was a specific problem with the mod I was using, but now the problem seems to be happening at random, even from mods downloaded from the nexus. As a test, I tried using the "Add mod from file" option with random, working mods that are already properly installed and functioning. Even some of THOSE mods gave me the "x cannot be added" error.

This is getting bizarre. I tried posting this to the loverslab forums back when I thought the problem was specific to their mods, and they seem to be absolutely baffled over there as well. Now that the issue seems to be specific to Nexus Mod Manager, I'm coming here to try and figure out a solution.

I genuinely appreciate any and all advice you could give me, and thanks in advance!

It sounds like a problem with NMM itself (duh). What version are you using? If you are using the 0.6.0.x version, they've been updating that a lot the past weeks so you may need to update to the newest version; or if you already have the latest and greatest, post a bug report on the NMM Open Beta bug page.. If you are using a version below 0.6, I would suggest trying to reinstall NMM.

Gods, ive got 53.7 just because i need it for Vividians installer (everything else in wrye) and it still cant manage to install all its files properly. Author swears the installer is fine on his end.

Im also starting to believe Win10 is starting to break things very quietly.
