MotoSxorpio
The Steam account that the game belongs to must be on the PC you are transferring to. You do have Steam connected Skyrim, yes?
saurusmaximus
Beyond that, copy your entire Data folder and move it to the new computer. You will also have to copy over your Saves folder if you want to save those, as well as any specific folders your mod manger uses.
SMB92
And it would be very convenient for you if you went to "your account folder"/appdata/local/skyrim and backup all those files, because that is your load order, dlc and plugins files. Then you can truly drop your data folder over and keep playing ;)
bben46
Most games cannot be just copied to a new computer. They must be installed on the new computer in order to work. Steam games are an exception as Steam can be installed on as many computers as you want, and then you can just activate any game that is already registered to you through steam. It will then download the game from steam and install it on the new computer for you. For non steam games - you will probably have to do all of the work yourself, either use the original media (DVD) or re download if the source allows that. And run the installer. Once you have a working game on the new computer THEN you can copy the Data folder and the saves folder to put the mods on the new computer. You will still have to install things like a mod manager separately though.
