steve40
Just a heads up, new update on the horizon. 1.9 around next week. Time for another SE update...whoooo...at least we got a heads up this time. I thought 1.9 was only for PS4, while PC users will get a free high res pack DLC. watsaru212
Okay, if I recall correctly, being able to play with the script extender despite it being outdated compared to the game version was a function available in SKSE - correct me if I'm wrong. Why the Hell isn't it an option here? I can't play Fallout 4 right now because of this. I get that there may be a few issues, but we should have the option to take the risk. I don't get to play very often, but when I do I like being able to actually, you know, play. This is beyond inconveniencing at the moment and is a 'function' that I feel should be removed, as it disallows people from enjoying a product they paid money for. A free program should not dictate whether or not we get to play a game, with or without problems. It should be our choice, not yours. Please remove this in future updates. Rubberduck69
Works fine. Anything we should know about this nice little workaround? Any limitations? Side effects?

The script extenders function that way to prevent you from breaking your own save. Either deal with it like an adult and stop talking down to people who provide you a free service, or stop modding fallout and play something else. The script extenders function that way to prevent you from breaking your own save. If you want to play then stop modding and suck it up buttercup and play without mods or play something else. This scripting isn't easy and you don't own people to tell them to do stuff to accommodate just you. If you want it done faster then do it yourself. These guys give up their free time to enhance a game for you, if you can't wait a day or 2 to play it (with mods) then get a refund for fallout, delete and stop your complaining. I will always continue to fully support the moders out there who work extremely hard on this stuff to make the game batter for all of us. I've made a few mods myself and this stuff is not easy by far, so i'd like to see the complainers try and make the new f4se file.

Trying to run a mismatched F4SE/runtime pair will crash on startup. The message is to provide a more useful explanation than just crashing. If you want to play in the meantime, just run the game by launching Fallout4.exe directly.
