AngryGamer94
It was probably removed due to massive clipping issues with different body types-weapons+weapon modifications-armors(especially power armor)Creating such a mod will require a lot of work and the creation kit of course as well as access to nif files.Clipping issues are unavoidable with certain oversized weapons and power armor. FusionCola
Until now clipping issues seem to have never been an issue for bethesda games. Hopefully we'll get the CK soon.
88conjuror
I completely 100% agree , and this is one of my biggest issues with the game.I spend an ample amount of time looking at my character in third person.I would love to see up to 3 holstered weapons at a time. They did it for Skyrim but it required a skelleton and some other steps,So I would imagine it would be difficult to do pre GECK..Even if it was just for your 1 equiped weapon, I would buy that man a cheeseburger Also, the left handed hunting rifle really bursts my roids,Cant wait to see a fix for that too.. :D
chillshock
And I thought I was having a bug that made my weapons vanish when holstered. *sigh*
DimosZargarda
Guys thers no way Bethesda would do this on purpose, im 99% sure that its just a bug, no damm way they ment to hide holstered weapons, they never did and it makes no sense. Saicomantis
Why hasn't this been already made?
Tskales
Any progress being made on correcting this horrifyingly dated piece of shoddy game design?
Trooperr
stopped playing. Dont care anymore, I hope bethesda learned its lesson they let the new game of fallout franchise beaten by a 5 year old company. Such a shame...
Flyzakifm
maybe we could ad another piece of armor for holsters... that would activate this option and give a small bonus, like increase in the draw speed or change speed... also some kind of ammo holders in the holster belt... that would increase the speed of the first couple of reloads (until the ammo in there run out and you have to get it normally from your "bag")
Doreth
SOME NEWS:Guys, I -started- to get working on this, using the pre-release NifSkope 2.0, and some ideas from a mod that HIDES holstered weapons in Skyrim -First, I have some bad news, but it's still not the end of the world : I compared the skeleton.nif from Skyrim (that one has the nods for weapons around the pelvis, and the back area) with the skeletons/main bodies/certain outfits from Fallout 4, (all of these have skeleton animation nods inside them, so a propable place for a weapon nod)and it seems that any NIF file I viewed are all totally missing any nod near the pelvis / back area, that are not part of the human body.So at the moment, I can't find ANY weapon nodes for holsters, that skyrim has in any NIF files I feel that can have a nod for holster. (Or I just didn't found it yet...)I am up for suggestions of course, and if some more experienced modders out there, do not forget, that we have a working holster system in Fallout3/NV AND in Skyrim, that means on the worst case It can be rebuilt somehow. Game engine should allow it- adding the nods, scripts, AND nods to the weapons, importing the whole system.Any ideas? For the more "technically savy", I started the actual mod development topic about this:please, only creative ideas on the below link, I appreciate any help of coursehttp://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3700005-holsters-yes-i-knowxd-but-i-actually-started-to-dig-in/ Edited January 19, 2016 by Doreth
