Miki990 Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 I'm not sure if this is in game, or I'm missing something, but dealing with settlers is a pain. I've been playing the game for several hours without going back to one of the camps and the population went from 3 to 8 settlers. I've set some I knew wore new to food and other stuff, but now I'm a little stuck figuring out who is left. There is no indication who is doing what, no info about this person doing that specific thing. Is there a way and I'm missing it? How are you dealing with managing your settlers?
Boombro Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 How are you dealing with managing your settlers?I give them nicknames that fits them and their jobs.
Miki990 Posted November 11, 2015 Author Posted November 11, 2015 (edited) I did not know you can rename them. That is an awesome way to manage them. So how do you change there names? It's though the commands right, SetActorFullName. But adding the name after that command did nothing. Edited November 11, 2015 by Miki990

Aidopunko Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 (edited) How are you dealing with managing your settlers?I've been collecting hats. You can trade with the settlers, give them bits of armor or weapons and then move to their inventory and there should be an option to equip the item when you select it (it is Y button on controller). Anyway, give them certain clothing or hats should make it easier to remember what they are doing. Edited November 11, 2015 by Aidopunko
Uzibeatle Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Yah, I'm having same issue. The devs provided zero means to tell who is tasked to what. I like the hat idea and will stop melting hats. Will have to do until someone can figure out a proper mod managment for all this. I"ve yet to figure out how the salvage bench works. I task one of them to it but have no clue how to get them to salvagegarbage I collect... sorry offtopic. When I do assign one to that table, they just end up wandering around or beating on the wall of some building with a hammer. LoL. /boggle.

Thank you very much.I don't understand why there's no way to view some kind of work chart or a list of citizens. For a game that's got the option of managing settlers it sure is missing most of the management. Edited November 11, 2015 by Miki990

I though that they just "collect" junk and that goes into the workbench storage. Love the game, disappointed with the management part of it.
