So a lot of texture mods from fo3/nv/skyrim should port over right?

I was just looking through the texture files for Fo4 and it seems like a lot of the files share identical names/layouts as those found in previous bethesda games. I ported over some eye textures from skyrim it worked fine so theoretically we could have a huge resource of new textures for the game already, unless im missing something.

The general structure tends to be similar between games but the quality of textures and meshes change from one to the next quite considerably. For example there are a few resources that were ported to Skyrim from MW just fine but they all look subpar in that game. There's also the matter of permissions to consider.

It would be against the copyright laws if you were to take items from a different game and directly put them into FO4, unless they are in Fo4 files and not implemented. People do this all the time with models and while it's technically illegal they get to import some lore-breaking Buster Sword or something dumb like that
