gamba6
For some reason no matter what settings I pick the textures look awful. The game loads for the first time, everything's fine everything looks great, then after a few steps all textures seem to go really really low. I've tried a number of things, even removing my drivers completely with Driver Sweeper, but nothing seems to work. I've tried different solutions from google but nothing seems to work. There's also a lot of people with different PC's experiencing the same, so I'm guessing it's some game issue. PLEASE HELP!
tokyopop65
+1 to bump.I am having this issue and have found it all over the web, but no fix. seems like some mods in FO3 actually induced this same effect but..? idk.Turning actor/item/object/etc fade all the way to 0% seems to lower the chance it will happen though. also may decrease the time it takes till the high def texture takes its place. sum 1 plz halp D:

xeno500
Same problem here. I think is due to how the engine fail to handle some videocards. Solved using enbTool:http://enbdev.com/mod_fallout4_v0282.htm and set in the enblocal.ini: [MEMORY]ForceVideoMemorySize=trueVideoMemorySizeMb=4096 Now the game load all the hi res textures without performance loss even on a 1G Vram card. Hope it helps. Sorry for my bad english. Edited November 14, 2015 by xeno500

mrspongeworthy
Gosh golly geewiz. A game bug that has to be fixed by people external to the developers. Again. It's not just Bethesda either. How did the world of programming devolve to the point where companies think they can release what is essentially a bunch of buggy crap and then just let other people fix it? It's absurd. Anyway, thanks so much for pointing this out. It immediately fixed the problem for me and, AFAICT has zero performance impact. Many people have noted that the "Medium, High, and Ultra" settings have zero impact on visual quality. I wonder if there is a major-bug in the FO4 engine causing these three settings to look identical, and of which the whole "ultra-low" texture bug we are discussing here is a but a symptom... Avitmechanic
Ok he was right. After months of that crap bug I fixed mine and don't have any problem with the bug anymore. In the enblocal where it asks for your video memory size, unlike what the guide says DO NOT include your physical ram in that number. ONLY YOUR VRAM. I changed that number and have played for a week without a single texture showing up in LOD form up close. I also no longer have the blue lod texture bug. On a separate note I recommend bilagos config tool make ini modifications very easily.
